Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana: Maharashtra's New Scheme for Women | ISH News

Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde launched the "Majhi Ladki Bahin Maharashtra 2024" scheme on 1st July 2024, aiming to provide financial aid to women in the state who are facing financial difficulties.

Monthly Financial Aid
The scheme provides Rs 1500 every month directly into the bank accounts of eligible women. The money is transferred through the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) system, ensuring transparency and smooth transactions.

Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the scheme, women must meet the following criteria:
- Residence: Must be a resident of Maharashtra.
- Age: Women aged between 21 to 65 years are eligible.
- Priority Group: Preference is given to destitute, widowed women, and those from economically weaker sections.
- Income Limit: Annual family income should not exceed Rs 2.5 lakh.
- Employment Status: No family member should be employed in a government job or be an income tax payer.
- Bank Account Requirement: Applicant’s bank account must be linked with Aadhaar and mobile number for direct fund transfer.

Applicants need to submit the following documents along with their application:
- Aadhar card
- Address proof
- Income certificate
- Age certificate
- Ration card (if available)
- Caste certificate (if applicable)
- PAN card (if available)
- Passport size photograph
- Bank account passbook

The scheme offers several benefits:
- Financial Stability: Receiving Rs 1500 every month ensures women have a reliable source of income, totaling Rs 18,000 per year.
- Empowerment: This financial aid helps women become more independent and self-reliant.
- Improved Living Standards: The financial support allows women to afford basic necessities and live with dignity.
- Government Support: The government has allocated Rs 46,000 crore to assist around 1.50 crore women in Maharashtra, demonstrating a strong commitment to supporting women through this initiative.

How to Apply?
The application process for the "Majhi Ladki Bahin Maharashtra 2024" scheme can be done online. Here’s a step-by-step guide:
1. Visit the official website of Majhi Ladki Bahin Maharashtra.
2. Look for the “Apply Online” section and click on it.
3. Enter your mobile number and click on “Get OTP” to receive a one-time password on your registered mobile number.
4. Enter the OTP received and proceed to fill out the application form with accurate details.
5. Upload the required documents, ensuring all documents are scanned clearly.
6. Review the information provided and submit the application form.
7. After successful submission, keep track of your application status through the portal.

Application Deadline
The last date to apply was initially 15th July 2024, but it has now been extended to 31st August 2024, giving more time for eligible women to apply.

Many people filled form in english it got loaded.


In old custom house they are demanding form only in marsthi. Not even one form they filled in front of us from 3 days. They said apps isnot working.
