Impressive. Very nice. Let's see Paul Allen's short position.

People need to realize the importance of “I might be early, but I’m not wrong” “That’s the same thing!” Because for every Michael Burry there are tons of people who got it right but still lost everything because they were too early.

"I want my money back."
"Yeah, and I wanted to win the 24 Hours of Le Mans, too."

I really like how he took the reasoning approach with Michael. He tried to get him to see it from a general and safety perspective. The other guy added a great contrast by acting hysterical (rightfully so since it was a big bet). Great scene.

I love how he just ignores the other guy who's freaking out, like he's not even in the room lol

"I may have been early, but I'm not wrong"
"It's the same thing!"

I think that part really goes over people's heads. Even if you're 100% right, you can't predict exact when the market will react or how strongly, or in which direction. This could've easily ruined him and his investors, but his timing ended up working out.

I love how Michael doesn't even respond to or acknowledge the lawyer in this scene and the lawyer is the most animated person in the room. Michael does not work for him so he rightfully only addresses his client.

They're in the business of making money and they didn't trust the guy that made them all that money before he made them even more money

In the end when he profited his clients billions he never once said to them, I told you so. He just took his earnings from the deal and gave his clients the massive profits.

I gotta give them props for actually portraying Burry's eye realistically, they could have just implied it but chose not to.

Margin Call is also a great movie showing another side of the mortgage crisis of 08.
