Nineteen years ago my older brother played this game and it took him forever to beat it, but I watched him play every second of it because I thought it looked cool and it was like watching a movie. I was too young to play it then, but now I’m 24 and I’m going to play the remake and beat it while he watches over me. I hope I make him proud! 😅 🤍 Miss you big bro, this one’s for you.

The subtle lyrics from Sephiroth theme are spine chilling, like a threat, looming on the horizon. Also, combining Aerith's theme and Sepiroth lyrics... sneaky Square Enix

In the original intro, aerith already had her eyes open but in the remake aerith is opening her eyes which also happened at the end of the original...

However you may feel about this remake, for me, when Barrett says "Get down here, merc." And Cloud swoops in with the music at 4:57 it's just one of those YESSS moments

The transition of Sephiroth's theme overlapping Aerith's theme feels like an ominous storm hanging over the horizon. Gives a sense of how Aerith feels hearing the Planet's desperation and pain.

We've never really been able to see or understand exactly how Aerith feels the planet communicating with her beyond 'talking', but with this I can feel the warning the planet is giving Aerith. Urgent. Pay attention.

When i was like 10 or so me and my friend would play FF7 for countless of hours and, yes it really took us a Loooong time to get through the game. All the memory's are great. Sadly my friend drowned cause of a heroic act. Never played FF7 again since. But this remake i will play. He will look down on me and we both wish, he could be there! Rip Michael Svalelid. Best guy there ever was

I studied video game art and design in the early 2000s. Everyone talked about Square’s CG quality. This intro is an absolute masterpiece. The reveal of Midgar city is mind-numbingly phenomenal.
