Final Fantasy VII Remake is an upcoming action role-playing game developed and published by Square Enix. The game is a remake of the PlayStation game Final Fantasy VII. FF7 Remake launches in April 2020 on PS4. Players control mercenary Cloud Strife as he and AVALANCHE battle the corrupt Shinra megacorporation and the legendary soldier Sephiroth. An ex-SOLDIER: first class, Cloud came to Midgar to start a new chapter of his life as a mercenary. At the invitation of his childhood friend, Tifa, he accepted a job with Avalanche. He may bring his buster sword to bear against Shinra troopers, but he does not care for plight of the planet. For him, this is a job and nothing more. Mako the lifeblood of the planet and the fuel that powers the city of Midgar. By exploiting this resource through their Mako Reactors, the Shinra Electric Power Company has all but seized control of the entire world. A ragtag group of idealists, known as Avalanche, are one of the last bastions of resistance. Cloud, an elite SOLDIER operative turned mercenary, takes part in an Avalanche operation to destroy Mako Reactor 1 in the city of Midgar.

This is perfect for those that cant play the game yet but want to fully understand the story and skip all the tedious gameplay. I really appreciate the editing in that you cut the really unimportant stuff but still leave in game cut-scenes, dialogues and the end of fights so the story doesn't skip and remain coherent.

Always loved Barret's devotion to Marlene. He was a big, tough, gruff man to everybody, but a teddy bear when it came to his daughter.

Tifa, cloud, and barret running up 59 stairs was basically quality content 🤣 hearing barret exhausted and complaining made me laugh so hard

Little moment, but I love the Shinra tour guide saying, "Welcome to our humble home" as the door opens to a fucking 20-foot-tall golden statue of President Shinra. It's such a pitch-perfect depiction of corporate tone-deafness.

Dang either Cloud can stay up for an insane amount of hours, or most of the events later in this game happen within 1-2 days.
Seriously, one night Cloud heads off to blow up the reactor and then fight a secret military weapon,
afterwards he plummets into a church, which was the closest thing he had to sleep, and it couldn't have been for more than an hours as Aerith was there trying to wake him up.
then he goes to do chores with Aerith(In daylight, so now it's tomorrow)
then night comes and he heads for Sector 7 with Aerith, only to be sidetracked by tifa coming in,
then Cloud gets a sensual hand massage and fights in a tournament before doing more chores with Johnny,
then Cloud has a dance-off with the owner of a gentleman's club,
then he infiltrates a sleezeball's crib to rescue his friend, then they fall into the sewers,
then he has to fight his way up a tower before having to jump right off with his friends as the ceiling comes down.
etc.
How can Cloud have so much energy?!

Who ever wrote Barrett's script and the voice actor chosen - It's fittingly perfect!

tfw you're a ripped badass with a gun for an arm, you survive collapsing city districts, fight giant beasts and could crush a man's skull with your thighs but when you have to climb 30+ flights of stairs, that's going TOO far

This cracked me up 😂

The fact that a large portion of this 15 hours is fully mo-cap animation with custom lip-sync for English is staggering.
It's any wonder I have a hard time remembering the finer details of certain chapters. It's because I basically sat through 5 or 6 MOVIES worth of cutscenes that look good enough to actually be a movie.
What a game! I'll be at a loss for words if Square are able to carry this level of quality through to the sequel.

I never played the original, but I’m watching through this after playing the remake with the knowledge that Aerith knows everything from the original timeline and her dialogue carries a completely different tone
