In the original game, Jessie also implies that her bomb couldn't have caused such a huge explosion, meanijg it was Shinra's doing in the OG game too.

aerith used melee attacks in the original and now in the remake she's long-ranged, and in my opinion it fits her better in terms of character balance

Its insane how they made a 50 hours game out of a section that was in the original only 2~3 hours long.

This is just above and beyond anything I could have ever dreamed up when I was wishing and hoping for a FFVII remake. I had FFX style gaming in mind, and that would have blown me away. But this is just unimaginably gorgeous... this will forever be my most cherished FF game/experience and I was just 10-12 when I first played and completed this game across 1997-2001

I kind of wish we did get to see Avalanches basement hideout at least once and Barret when he’s hitting the boxing bag and later sends Biggs into the air. But it does make sense I suppose seeing how he has a gun for an arm but they could’ve done something.

Whats funny is i never knew there was a right side attack on the g bike sequences. So I beat the game attacking only on the left side.

I will always have a part of the original in my heart but damn is the remake impressive.

I’m just over 27hrs in and I’m loving every second of this game. You can tell they really took a lot of care in crafting the environments and expounding on each character. I will say this, even as frustrating as some of the battles are they don’t make you want to give up. I find myself wanting to get right back into the action as soon as I die. It’ll be interesting to see if the next installment will be as good.
