I make "banana" milk for my oatmeal. Take a frozen banana and blend with water to make "milk" consistency. Use it on oatmeal. Then you don't need any sweetener because the banana is sweet.

It's refreshing to watch a real person and not someone just putting on a smiley show for the camera. Back on topic of the video content, coating the dates in flax has changed my view on using them in stuff. I use to avoid dates because they clump together and the pre-chopped ones are usually coated in all the sugar. Tips like that are definitely worth sharing, so, thank you for that. I would like seeing more tips/hacks you have that make maintaining your diet smoother.

Thank you, Chris. I haven't had pizza since going vegan a year ago, and I don't buy the processed vegan cheeses, so seeing your recipe for "cheese" was inspiring. I hope I can try it in the future. Good luck to you on eating this way..and yes, I wouldn't mind seeing more examples of your eating "style". I'm not a cook, so getting ideas would be beneficial. xx

OMG! I’m so glad I found you! I’ve been on this diet for 1 month now & it is the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do in life! I’ve cried almost given up & been devastated because it’s so hard! I need help really bad & I thought I was out here alone!

Great video! I'm not vegan, but due to some major blood pressure issues, I've drastically lowered my sodium over the last two weeks & came across this video while searching new recipes. Very inspiring. (Oh, but my FAVORITE moment was when your pup got the whole carrot as a snack) ♥

Hey, I've been on this diet over a year now due to a liver disease. Thought I would share my favorite oatmeal recipe. I buy oats in bulk, usually thick cut. To the pot, I add either a 1/2 cup organic pumpkin puree, or a bit of cooked sweet potato, or some shredded zucchini. For spices I add cinnamon, cardamom, and sometimes allspice. Add the water, bring to a boil, cover, reduce heat for three minutes. While that's cooking, to my bowl, I add 1/2 cup blueberries and 1 T flaxmeal. You share so many recipes, I thought you may enjoy one of my faves. Thanks for the channel!

Something I just learned is to add miso paste to food while it cooks. It gives it a wonderful salty flavor and my hubby no longer adds salt to the surface of the food. The soy coats the stomach and doesn't raise my blood pressure, so it is a win for me too!

In place of buying oat milk or any other kind of plant-based milk what I do is blend up about a quarter cup of oats into a flower then I add depending on how creamy you want it 1 to 2 cups of water then blend it again real good and that is my oat milk. I do the same thing with cashews. And that way you're eating the whole food. I used to make my own plant-based milks and throw away the fibers but I figured why waste the fibers? I basically eat the way you're eating in this video sometimes I go off around the holidays though keep up the good work and great videos

i recently switched my mother, husband and i to a modified version of the engine 2 diet. she is on dialysis so there are a lot of veggies she can't have or has to greatly limit and i have had gastric bypass. my hubby and her are also not fully on the plant based bandwagon so i can't be as strict with this diet as i would like. it is wonderful to get recipes and inspiration from an experienced vegan and chef. thank you so much for these videos!

Walmart sells an organic soymilk, called Westsoy, with 2 ingredients; organic whole soybeans and filtered water. Also, you should give steel cut oats a try as an overnight oat! Just add soymilk, frozen berries, cinnamon, flax-seed and its ready the next day. So good and easy!

Chris, the breakfast was awesome. I would just make it an overnight, raw oats instead. And lunch pizza pie was awesome. I would just add more variety of veggies, for me. The crust sounds nice and crispy, not doughy. Indy and that 🥕. Too cute!! YES, MORE WHAT I EAT IN A DAY, WITH MUKBANG. 😀 Also, I like seeing how miso is used. I've never tried it yet.

Smoothies, according to NutritionFacts.Org are only a problem if youre chugging them. Using a spoon & adding chewable toppings makes smoothie bowls acceptable with all the plant based docs.

I tried this no oil no salt diet a year ago. Yeah I lost a bunch of weight (didn't feel confident bc I lost all my curves) and did make my stomach issues feel better. However couldn't follow it long term. I ate a large amount of food but I always felt dizzy, was never satisfied after eating and had no sex drive. I was always in a bad mood and my depression kept getting worse. Going in on the diet I thought it would somehow cure my endometriosis but it just made the pains worse. t wasn't until I just said "fuck it" and cooked with oil, salt, and incorporated more fat in my diet, that I felt a lot better. I asked my doctor and she said that women need more fat in their diets to keep their hormones balanced. My point is that this diet will not work for everyone especially for women.

Hi, Chris.
I also had a really bad cholesterol lab result in May 2018.
I also turned to Esselstyn's book and program.
Your recipes are helping me more now than ever.
I'm doing great. Lost 20 lbs. Swelling diminished.
I am so proud of your struggle.

Hi Zombie! I have the same issue with my cholesterol too. Last week my doctor put me back on my cholesterol meds again. I'm 2 years vegan now my total count is now 247. I feel like I'm on this journey with you. Lol. I really appreciate your updates. Hopefully we'll figure it out and I can get off of my meds once and for all. I've been tested numerous ways and times so far the meds are doing the best job for me now. If a person has high cholesterol like me and are told to take the meds can be the best for a time until they figure out a way that works. I worked on mines for a few years with no meds and occasionally good results was not enough so now I have heart damage. I will, we will beat this thing. Stay blessed full speed ahead! Charge 📈!
