Is There Biblical Evidence for a 7-Year Tribulation?

Does the Bible teach a future 7-year tribulation? In this video I want to examine the most-used passage to support this doctrine: Daniel 9:20-27.

So good to hear someone teach this. I do agree. Everyone seems to be waiting for this peace deal with Israel that isn't coming.
By contrast, I think it's important to listen out for a time when the leaders declare 'peace and safety', that is when suddenly destruction will come.

Thank you, Dane! Very well thought out analysis of Daniel’s vision. I believe you are correct! Unfortunately, too many people may be watching for a prophecy that has already been fulfilled. I believe the Savior is coming much sooner than many May think!

I wonder who wants me to think there won't be a tribulation, satan ...or Jesus the Messiah who told me ones coming in many ways including using the exact words, I think I'll believe Jesus and watch for him with my oil, you do as you please with your free will. I really don't care how long the tribulation is, it's not important, the fact Jesus said ones coming, that's all that matters, it's a future event and only the devil would try to convince someone from taking heed of it

Excellent presentation and well developed. Although Paul’s conversation date alone with the date of Christ’s crucifixion varies, it does support a 3-4 year span between both events. What seem like a mystery now seem very clear. I accept this view point.

It’s like shackles falling away on each step I take in drawing closer to G-d by questioning the mysterious theologies I was told to accept because we could never understand the mysteries of G-d.- which is contradictory in itself. If it’s a mystery, how have you arrived to this conclusion? But now I was in rebellion for asking . Humm

Thank you for this video, for nearly 30 years I have challenged people to show me in the scriptures, a pre-tribulation rapture, or seven year tribulation period. No one has yet to show me this doctrine that they say is so plainly shown in scripture. This doctrine is giving people a false sense of security, in that they don't need to prepare to endure persecution, because they won't be here. I believe this false doctrine will contribute to the falling away that Paul speaks of in 2 These. 2:3. Jesus said, "he that shall ENDURE unto the END, the same shall be saved" Matt. 24:13.

The tribulation period being another name for Daniel’s 70th week. Conjecture. Actually, Jesus talking about the time of great tribulation says, “…If those days aren’t shortened all flesh will be destroyed, but for the sake of the elect, those days will be cut short.” However, we know that Daniel’s 70th week is NOT cut short, in fact, there are three numbers given Revelation and in the 9th chapter of Daniel. It first mentions “1, 260 days” which is three and a half years using the Babylonian calendar, then it says, “From the time the sacrifice is abolished (mid-point) there will be 1290 days.” Then it says “Blessed is the one who makes it to the 1, 335 day.” If Daniel’s 70th week is cut short by just one day, there would be no “1, 335th Day!” So, we have a time of great tribulation starting at the mid-point of Daniel’s 70th week and being cut short for the sake of the elect. A “seven-year” tribulation period. The four words “seven” “year” “tribulation” “period” are not found together anywhere in scripture. And yes, I know the words trinity and rapture are not found in scripture, but the concepts are. Actually the time of great tribulation starts at the mid-point of Daniel’s 70th week when the “anti-christ” desecrates the temple (abomination of desolation) and then starts his persecution of Godly people who refuse his “mark.” Since it starts at the mid-point, it can’t be seven years long. Remember, he doesn’t break the treaty until 3½ years into Daniel’s 70th week. In the Olivet Discourse, Jesus tells his disciples that this terrible time coming (the time of great tribulation) will have “…false messiahs, wars and rumors of wars, earthquakes, famines…and you will be hated by all nations for my namesake and you will be handed over to the authorities and be beaten, tortured, even put to death, but the one who endures to the end will be saved.” Then He gives a startling warning sign: “THEREFORE, when you see the Abomination of Desolation (the mid-point of Daniel’s 79th week) as spoken of by Daniel the prophet…flee!” ALL warning signs, no matter what they are warning about, have one thing in common; they come BEFORE the things they are warning about, so the above warning sign, the Abomination of Desolation, MUST come before the Time of Great Tribulation.

Daniel Ch. 9 is about Israel and the coming Messiah Jesus. "Seventy weeks are determined for your people and for your holy city" vs 24, what were they to do within those 70 weeks "To finish the transgressions, To make an end of sins, To make reconciliation for iniquity, To bring in everlasting righteousness, To seal up vision and Prophecy, and to Anoint the Most Holy", Jesus fulfilled all of this. Verse 25 “Know therefore and understand, That from the going forth of the command To restore and build Jerusalem Until Messiah the Prince, There shall be seven weeks and sixty-two weeks;" after seven and sixty two weeks, 69 prophetic or 483 literal years Jesus would step on the scene and begin his ministry. The decree to rebuild Jerusalem was given in the year 457 BC, see Ezra Ch. 7, if calculate 457 and minus it from 483 we get 26 but since there is no year 0AD we add a year showing the transaction from 1 BC to 1 AD making it 27 AD which is exactly when Jesus was Baptized and began his ministry. Verse 26 “And after the sixty-two weeks Messiah shall be cut off, but not for Himself;" after Jesus came he died not for himself but for all of us. Verse 27 "Then he shall confirm a covenant with many for one week;" this final week the 70th is in reference to Jesus and his followers confirming the New Covenant promised to Israel first through Christ's ministry and then with the continuation of the spreading of the gospel to the Nation of Israel through his disciples and apostles."But in the middle of the week He shall bring an end to sacrifice and offering." Jesus' Ministry lasted 3 and a half years, no longer were sacrifices required because the ultimate and final sacrifice took place the death of our dear Jesus Christ. This rounds up the timeline to about 31 AD after Christ's disciples become apostles and continued to spread the Gospel to Israel for another 3 and a half years finishing the prophertic timeline in the year 34 AD, what happened in this the Church had it's first marter Steven who was stoned to death for preaching the Gospel. Saul who later became Paul was present and from then on the Gospel was preached to the Gentiles. Matthew 21:43 NKJV “Therefore I say to you, the kingdom of God will be taken from you and given to a nation bearing the fruits of it.

Prophetically speaking God is finished with the Physical Nation of Israel and has turned his attention to Spiritual Israel the Church. In case you are wondering if God is absolutely finished with the Physical Nation of Israel he is not. This very moment he is working a miracle bringing souls to Christ and grafting people in Physical Isreal and other middle east countries into Spiritual Israel, I strongly believe that the One For Israel Ministry is proof of this fact.

I say Spiritual Israel because when we accept Christ, who is the Jewish Messiah by the way, we are grafted in the stock of Israel and have become Spiritual Jews by faith. Below are a few Bible texts to support this view.

Romans 2:28‭-‬29 NKJV
For he is not a Jew who is one outwardly, nor is circumcision that which is outward in the flesh; but he is a Jew who is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the Spirit, not in the letter; whose praise is not from men but from God.

Romans 9:6‭-‬8 NKJV
But it is not that the word of God has taken no effect. For they are not all Israel who are of Israel, nor are they all children because they are the seed of Abraham; but, “In Isaac your seed shall be called.” That is, those who are the children of the flesh, these are not the children of God; but the children of the promise are counted as the seed.

Romans 11:17‭, ‬19‭, ‬23‭-‬24 NKJV
And if some of the branches were broken off, and you, being a wild olive tree, were grafted in among them, and with them became a partaker of the root and fatness of the olive tree, You will say then, “Branches were broken off that I might be grafted in.” And they also, if they do not continue in unbelief, will be grafted in, for God is able to graft them in again. For if you were cut out of the olive tree which is wild by nature, and were grafted contrary to nature into a cultivated olive tree, how much more will these, who are natural branches, be grafted into their own olive tree?

Galatians 3:26‭-‬29 NKJV
For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus. For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus. And if you are Christ’s, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.

I was wondering about the "he" whether it is Jesus or not. I prayed to God about it and was led to your video. Thank you🤗

EXACTLY! In my opinion... Context is everything. Let me add some additional ideas from my studies of Daniel 9.
Daniel 9 is a plea by Daniel to God about his people and The City. Gabriel's response is limited to that in verse 24. The He in verse 27, by the rules of grammar MUST be Messiah. The Prince to come is Titus. The seiges of Jerusalem began around 67 AD by Gallius. He pulled back to Cesarea and was attacked on the way by zealots. Nero sent Vespasium to solve "the Judean problem" and he started a scorched earth policy in Samaria heading for Jerusalem. Right after he gets there, Nero dies and there is a quick succession of 4 cesars, ending with Vespasian. He then tells his son and general, Titus, to finish the job.
Josephus tells us the fire that actually destroyed the temple was started by his men. He wanted the temple as a trophy. So after the desolation of the city, they ripped the temple area apart to recover the melted gold of the temple, thereby fulfilling the prophecy of Christ concerning the temple area.
So to verse 27. Messiah confirmed the covenant with Judah and Israel, to deliver the gospel to them. And halfway through the 70th week He is "cut off" see Isaiah 53. But the covenant continues with Israel and Judah until Peter's dream, Cornelius's baptism and Paul's mission, primarily to the Gentiles. This transition of primacy closes and completes the prophecy of the 70 weeks concerning the people and the city.
But in the last days, at His return and appearance at the mount of Olives, Judah and 🇮🇱 will be redeemed and converted to the TRUE Messiah see Zechariah 12-14. So, the last shall be first, and the first shall be last.
So, there is no scriptural basis for a 7 year tribulation countdown and the He is Messiah, not the Antichrist invading a Jewish Temple in the middle of a peace treaty. And all of you waiting to get raptured out so you miss all the awful tribulation and wrath? Hold on. It's going to be a bumpy ride.
But, thats just my opinion.

Amen finally someone reads this through without a doctrine involved. I would also like to mention that these are seventy sevens not weeks. So the final 7 is 7, 000 years of the Hebrew calendar. The Jews believe the last 1, 000 years are considered the messianic age which we know as the millennium. The prince to come is Jesus. The people of the prince to come are Christians. Today Rome is a Christian nation and has been for thousands of years now. In the middle of the 7, 000 years you will find the cross at Calvary that put the end to sacrifice and atonement. Today we are in the Hebrew year 5780 do the math the end is near. The 70 weeks is all about Jesus not the antichrist.

Why is it for Pretribers that they can not believe what Daniel said the tribulation period is in Daniel 7:25 ESV
[25] He shall speak words against the Most High, and shall wear out the saints of the Most High, and shall think to change the times and the law; and they shall be given into his hand for a time, times, and half a time.

ONE WEEK IS THE REFFERENCE TO THE 7 YEARs

Daniel 9:27
“And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.”

I'm glad I watched this out. At first I thought you were for the 7 yrs Tribulation interpretation and I was about to roll my eyes and click off. To me the way you explained it is the only way that makes sense to me so thank you.

I think the day that Steven was stoned is when the judgment was made that the gospel should go to the Gentiles was when the final week was ended. Some scholars say that Steven was stoned 3 and 1/2 years after Christ was risen. Steven said while he was being stoned and killed he looked up and seen Jesus standing at the right hand of the father standing would suggest he was standing in judgment because every other verse that we see we see that Jesus was sitting at the right hand of the father.

Talk of 'the rapture' or 'the second coming' I normally dismiss for being non Biblical teaching, with those professing seeming to have no other reason for their beliefs than 'That's what The Bible says'. Now it is I questioning some of my beliefs and reasoning. I am certain the Great Sign of 20170923 and an identical sign 6000 years earlier marked the beginning and end of God's 6 day (6000 year) creative workweek. The edges of the field were reserved by law for the gleaners to share in the harvest, so some give and take regarding exact times on occasion is acceptable. I am a now ‘somewhat’ firm believer that the solar eclipses of 20170821 and 20240408 over America, mark the beginning and end of the "7 year tribulation", with the midpoint in mid-December 2020 that coincides with the great Jupiter-Saturn conjunction, the time the antichrist reveals himself to the world; but definitely at the end of the 7 years, marking the beginning of his 1000 year kingdom, the end of The Great Tribulation and the beginning of God's 1000 year day of rest from His 6 day (6000 year) workweek. Please do not feel you need immediately respond to this post if at all, from what I have seen you respond to everyone, and I am sure you have many more important things to consider. I only wanted to share some information I had regarding a topic you obviously devoted much time and resources to research and publish. That your discussion shook some of my core beliefs says a lot. Prayerfully I will continue to research the topics to strengthen my knowledge and testimony of God's Eternal Kingdom and His Message of Salvation.

Wow. I never heard that interpretation. Makes more sense based on the way you explained it. Seems like so many prophecies have already been fufilled then based on your other videos. So what prophcies are really left to come? Hope you do a video on that subject.
