This is a nice little tutorial on how to fix clipped audio sound and wave files using the great free audio editor and effects program Audacity. There are other videos out there showing different ways to fix clipped sound, some of them are bandwidth limited. I feel this is the best way to fix the clipped audio and this method uses a combination of the "Clip Fix" function with the "Compressor" function.Clipped audio happens when you amplify the waveform further than the limit of the digital range, and it produces a cut off square flat top wave form that sounds garbled and is is not probably not good for your speakers because the discontinu

𝗤𝘂𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀:
1. Why (in amplify, at the beginning) you didn't leave it in 𝟬, 𝟯 als suggested by Audacity, instead you used -𝟲, 𝟬 amplitud?
2. Why you didn't use 'show clipping', in order to see the red lines where clipping appears
3. Would you aply the same method in case of an interview?
Thanks

What percentage did you put clip fix on? I can barely see the numbers on the screen. When making these videos can you say the numbers also. Thank you

I am using this to fix clipping in a DJ mix, when we use compression it does level out the waveforms function. But could it distort the music (using the default settings?) Would it be better to normalize the entire volume based on the lowest point then amplify? I really have no idea but i have seen it both ways, and have read that over compression can cause distortion in high quality musical recordings.
