Has your child has ever become aggressive towards you?

Mine have! 🥴

Now this may seem, on the surface, really obvious and too simplistic but this is the basis for this entire aggression series so bear with me.

We are laying a strong foundation here and one important piece of this is to develop a no tolerance mindset to aggression or any acts of violence in your home.

No tolerance policy for aggression means:
•I address the behavior in the moment with clear boundaries. I don’t ignore or pretend like it’s not happening.
•I don’t laugh or think any form of aggression is “cute” or “kids being kids.” Aggression in any form has no place in our home.
•I don’t talk to others about their aggression in ways that convey “it’s just who they are.”
•I model for them how to express intense emotions without hurting others.
•I spend time “outside the moment” debriefing, teaching, and re-connecting.
•I don’t put my hands on my kids when I’m frustrated with their behavior.

I’ve created this series on anger and aggression so let me know what thoughts + questions you have about this topic + I’ll do my best to address in future videos!
