36:40 I’d like to believe that, in this moment, the mimic thought to itself: “Why should he be the one to take the Elden throne? I’m the one who did all the work.” And so, it attempted to take the throne for itself, only to be thwarted by the lack of friendly-fire game mechanics.

For anyone that doesn't know, there's a pot that marks targets for agro from your summons. It's called the cursed-blood pot and you can craft it after you get the Nomadic Warrior Cookbook [12] from the Rose Church in Liurnia. Generally it's not that useful but for fights like Renala and O'Nial in runs like this it might be of some utility. Hope it helps someone!

Margit: Well, thou art of passing skill.
Tiche: You wot mate?
I think the reason Tiche is as powerful as she is aside from her Destined Death debuff is because she moves like a Bloodborne hunter

18:54 The Fire Giant is not THAT strong against fire. His fire negation is only 50%, which is above average but not as good as Radagon's 80% Holy negation or Fortissax's 80% holy AND lightning negation. The real problem is that the Omenkiller's fire attacks aren't good to start with.

I'm pretty sure the reason for the Fire Giant beating the mimics ass was because it will only attack enemy's nearby. So because u were far from him, the mimic wont attack that's why during Rennala fight u were able to get him to kill the specific people

I wonder if the skeletal militiamen could solo the game, they will only need three years to kill Margit

Mimic is tethered to you, you're too far from giant. There's a few untethered ashes, like mad Pumpkin and blood hound, but make sure you summon them near boss, since they don't follow you.

In the Fire Giant fight, the Fire Giant is considered as having half as much health in the first phase, because its technically a different creature with less health so that it dies to trigger the cutscenes and summon the next phase to spawn in

Therefore Black blade/flame AoW and spells do less damage in the first half due to the maximum health damage scaling effect.

1:10 - there’s something oddly funny about Tiche just taking a casual walk through Limgrave. Like just strolling next to the Sentinel like “Oh, hey Dave! Haven’t seen you since... oh, you know! How’s the wife and kids?”

Anyways, stan Tiche. My favourite moment of her’s in my playthrough was whenever I go to one of those carriages to loot a chest, and she just hops up with me and kinda just looks around bemused. Also let’s you know how tall Numen are compared to regular humans...

A big problem here is that if you aren't near the boss, then the summon is going to play passive.
Alot of these fights involve Tiche taking hits and losing time because she's following you, which ashes will prioritize over attacking.

It helps you understand why 5 black knife assassins could take down Godwyn even though he was one of the most powerful demigods

A good litmus test for the power of an ash that any person can try without mods is to summon them to fight the haligtree knights at Elphael inner wall. The only ashes that can consistently beat them both at +9 is the mausoleum soldier ashes.
They’re probably your best bet for something like this.

mimic also uses the healing stones if you equip them, mimic actually uses all items you give him, including bleed or frost bombs and such

If you didn't know, equipping Mohg's great rune is an awesome way to seriously buff all your summons.

Protip: putting raw meat dumplings on your hotbar lets the mimic use them without getting poisoned. you only need 1 and it uses them infinitely.

I'd like to see this again, but instead of one summon the whole time, using different summons for different fights. I swear I've seen Dung Eater solo Fire Giant somewhere, and Delores with Bernahl could probably kill Godskin Duo. I don't know if anyone would have the endurance for Radagon/Elden Beast, though.

Headless Lhutel is also a really good option casually. Obtainable super early (Tombsward catacombs in Weeping Peninsula, with only a cemetery shade boss) so no need to travel super far or beat anything really hard. (Had that issue trying to get gold scarab talisman early, 2 rot knights in that awful cave is so hard at level 1)

Lhutel uses a spear with the death blight effect. But sadly most enemies are immune to the effect. However spears in general are pretty good, thrust damage is a super common weakness. Also she has the ability to throw the spear to deal ranged damage (like tiche's flames but faster and weaker), also she can literally just warp around. So much better than even tiche's bloodhound step-esque dodges, she literally just phases out and in again like placidusax. Which can make her extremely strong on single targets because she can hammer them with thrown spears and then just literally teleport behind them and hit them with the "nothing personnel kid". I don't know if the ashes AI tweaks have borked her like they did the mimic, but I was using her when the game came out and she either basically solo'd every boss, or was such an incredible distraction that it made it baby easy. Double crucible knights would have been spooky if one of them wasn't stuck in a corner trying to bash a teleporting ghost.

Tiche beat Radahn in less tries than it took me to figure out to roll into his arrows

I found this fascinating, and it kept me busy for 30 plus minutes on my elliptical machine NOT bored, thanks for that!

I’ve been doing a maiden astrea cosplay where I am a pure healer/buffer, 40 mind 80 faith at lvl 90.

I typically do blessing of the erdtree buff, golden vow, and either barrier of gold/lords divine fortification, etc on my spirit ashes. I also tend to spam erdtree heal in my fights, I don’t even damage the boss lol.

From my experience, I’ve found in my ng+ run that the azula beastmen ashes absolutely clap all bosses before Godfrey. Banished knight oleg does a pretty damn good job for the stronger bosses in the endgame. Also the godrick soldier duo ashes are pretty damn strong too. They’re a mix of the two other ashes, a little tanky while also high damaging.

I didn’t realize black knife tiche was this strong, I kinda avoided her because of how mobile she is, would be hard to buff and heal her in fights, but now that I see this video I’ll give it a try.
