Hello, new painter here 🤭🙋🏼‍♀️ as I’m quite aware of the hobby and miniature cost I’m terrified still to start a new miniature or even pick a color scheme. And I’m now questioning your choice - please elaborate; why not simply use metallic/zilver(drybrush) on the boots but mimic it with layering instead? I want to understand the specific choice to learn 🫢🤭 Thnx!!❤

I painted an entire gang for Necromunda and I was not loving the color scheme I picked out and was even kinda bummed out after finishing the last detail… then I used a dark wash and boom! It went from damn to DAMN! Washes are amazing and cheat codes for minis

These videos are great. Very helpful….. BUT, the problem is not tips and tutorials — the reality is is that this is not simply painting mini’s — Squid can probably paint an actual picture of a fantasy barbarian on a blank canvas as good as he paints these mini’s….

The rest of us, are painting models, filling in the blanks with colours and over time we might learn a few cheeky hacks to get things looking even better.

But getting to this guys level??? With little or no artistic ability — no chance………

Some of these mini painters are frankly artists in their own right. There’s a big difference — between them and your average hobbyist!
