Stay safe, be smart, and as much as others might not agree, stay armed.

I'd camouflage the real cameras and put up dummy cameras for them to see, that way if they see the fakes and destroy them, you'll catch it on the real one

We just confronted trespassers this past summer at our family farm. Had months worth of pictures of them but just couldn't catch them in the act. Finally did, and I understand completely what you said about the adrenaline pumping. I had many thoughts rolling through my head about how I would handle that moment, but they all go out the window in the heat of the moment. We got the sheriff involved and they got charged.

What I wish I had done differently is call the sheriff BEFORE going and confronting them. Let the trespassers get all settled in and comfy, then let the sheriff roll up and see it in person. Hindsight is 20/20.

It's a shame land owners have to go through all of that.

I bought my Reolink because of you Josh and it’s one of the best investments on the ranch. I get the $10 T-Mobile data prepaid deal for each camera and it works just fine and gets awesome 1080 video. Not only that you can press the microphone button and scare the crap out of them when you see them. I like the whole text notification every time it senses movement. I needed another one because I used one as a job site camera so this deal comes at a perfect time. Thank you Josh

Fences serve two purposes.

Firstly they keep inside animals from getting out.
Secondly they stop outside animals from getting in.

Thanks so much! We installed one at our Nevada homestead and it has been a total game changer. The first week it caught video of someone coming unannounced to our homestead before dawn. There has been so much thievery as of late and we were able to warn neighbors of the vehicle. Now we can have a neighborhood watch and share photos of potential threats. It also alerted a family member of unannounced visitors and he was able to be prepared to defend himself if necessary. Will definitely be buying another one. This makes a great gift for loved ones as well! Thanks again. Have a super holiday!

So nice to have cameras on your property. My Neighbor had some one trash their windows in their car. It just so happened our camera got it all on our computer. We made a copy they took the guy to court. He had to pay them for what he did. and when the police saw the copy they arrested him. Ta Da. That was a real blessing. Now all the neighbors know we have cameras.

We had loads of trespassing. We put up fences/big castle gates, purchased from tractor supply. We put solar motor gate openers on them they work wonderful . We bought no trespassing, private property, private driveway signs on the gates. With gates, we have had no problems.

With how fast they ran they’re definitely doing something worse than trespassing and poaching. Looks like your property was "the spot" that’s away from prying eyes. Keep your head on a swivel and stay safe. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family!

Tresspassers are bad enough. Poachers are never tolerated! Glad you got the footage. Hopefully, they pass the word that unwelcome people are not allowed. Stay safe and healthy out there! Thank you for sharing a part of your day with us!

Hey Josh! It's a sad statement that you have to take such measures and precautions. I am glad that you are O.K. and got the evidence you need to get Law Enforcement to take it from here. I believe that once word gets around... these incidents will stop, but continued vigilance will be required on your part to make sure that it does. Stay safe!.

Happens up here in Canada all the time . Finally passed a trespassing law that can be up to 30, 000 in fines in Saskatchewan

25 years ago I lived extremely rural, someone with a 20 gauge shotgun fired from the road probably at turkey or deer in the middle of the night, ( found the shells in the center of the road)..they may not have known they were shooting towards my trailer, I stuck my 10/ 22 out the back door and let off a rapid fire 30 round magazine into an embankment with a good safe backstop, didn't fire toward them, ..ya know they exited the area swiftly....a few minutes later my sheriff ( who was a personal friend) called me and asked if everything was alright, apparently a neighbor down the road heard .." full automatic weapons firing" he figured it had to be me..I related what happened and he asked if I wanted an officer sent out...I said " nah I'm reasonably sure they won't be back"...and that was the end of it..ya gotta love rural life..

I use the Reolink Go Pt like you, mine stopped working about a month ago and I shipped to the company for repair, . I will get it back tomorrow and put it back up. The bad thing is, I had somebody come onto my property and steal some items from out side my shop a few days ago. I will buy another one to put at the entrance to my road when I can afford it. The camera is great and I would give it a two thumbs up. I learned about it from the first video you posted using the camera. Thanks for the information and suggestion.
