Thank you for speaking up. This is almost like the same as my testimony. I was really a devoted catholic, defending the church based on the knowledge I know, I debated with Christians, not listening to them, seeing them as boring, also got offended, but when I started reading the Bible, God was slowly revealing the truth. I was still going to a catholic church until one day Dec of 2012, I read Isaiah 44:9-20, and this was my turning point. I went again to a catholic church but couldn’t bow down and pray to the saints anymore as the presider said. I went out. And 1 month I didnt go to any church and felt lost, then I finally cried out to the Lord surrendering my belief just to know Him. It wasnt easy but I can say that was a major decision I wont regret all my life. I decided to follow the Scriptures and met the true Jesus. Praise and glory to God!

I had a similar experience to you, except I was raised Mormon. After I became born again I began to recognize that what they were teaching was about the organization and how it saves you and not Jesus alone, I started getting a little frustrated as I went to church I could no longer attend. It’s all about Jesus and what he did for us hallelujah 🙏🙌🏻

I was raised Catholic, but when I was born again, the Catholic Church didn’t sit right with me. I left the Catholic Church but my mom thinks I’m doing something wrong because she’s still very catholic. She believes in worshipping Mary and praying to saints and she said Mary performed miracles and broke chains for her which saddens me because only Jesus can do that only Jesus can heal and save and restore she’s confusing everything … she’s very ritualistic and religious, can be judgmental and I have felt such a burden on my heart to pray for her, she said she’s encountered Jesus but also prides herself in calling herself “Seeker of Truth” .. she sounds foolish, because only Jesus is the WAY THE TRUTH AND THE LIFE

I went to Catholic school and graduated 12th grade went into the navy. Then in 1972 I got saved. Praise Jesus !! Never looked back! Thank God Jesus saved me.

God appreared to my dream 6yrs ago and He showed me how the statue's got destroyed. I am just 11 year old at that time, when I was at my early age of 9th I was really confused about everything my family were doing ( My family both sides were very super devoted to catholic and saints) they repeat, memorize and bow down to idols. And then 6yrs ago I asked God "Lord show me the way and truth I am so lost and confuse. I am still a kid but Im confuse about these matter" and then He showed me. After 6yrs of fighting for my Faith and to follow ONLY JESUS CHRIST THE WAY TO THE FATHER I finally got baptized last January and left Catholic Church finally last August. Now I am 16, I am happy Im using the gift/talents that God gave me to give Him praise, make Him known and only WORSHIP HIM IN SPIRIT AND IN TRUTH 🙏

Well done brother, I've had a similar experience a lot of catholic teachings are not biblical. Long before I was saved i saw people carrying a statue of mary and it felt so so wrong, this led me to do research I now follow Jesus and I'm offended by catholic rubbish. GOD BLESS YOU Brother.

Left the Catholic Church when I was 16, became born again at 17. It honestly hurts that when I try to tell people what the bible says, they don’t want to listen. Hurts to see my own family and friends still faithful to the church, but not God. They would rather listen to a priest than read their Bible

I'm ex-Catholic as well. Loved your testimony. All praise and glory be to God. Mary was a model believer and is a member of the Church of Christ. She is NOT "the gateway to Christ" or the "Mediatrix of All Graces" or anything like that. God is our loving father, and a loving father speaks directly to his children. Jesus lives within us.

My journey here, I was born and raised in a catholic family. I was the most active child. At some point I wanted to become a nun and serve. I think it was 2015 or 2016 when the pope visited Uganda. My doubts started right there. I witnessed to his arrival in the country and his visit didn’t leave me the same spiritually. I didn’t stop attending mass though but I was badly struggling spiritually. This went on until 2018 when I learned about Mormons. It being a new religion to me it sounded cool and learning about the plan of salvation I asked to be baptized🤦🏾‍♀️. Things seemed fine at first, but I felt I wasn’t was totally wrong though I kept pushing since I had a community of believers I could hangout and stuff. It was last year that I decided to leave the lds church. I officially got my record deleted (stressful thing to go through) and I am now a Bible believer. I refuse to bow down to any authority that contradicts God’s word. I thank Jesus for not giving up on me and for saving me. Jesus is my everything! Be blessed y’all.

Before I was an ex catholic but now I am a born again Christian by God's grace.God did so many wonders nd goodness in my life. Really I thank nd Praise God for his mercy nd loving kindness.He kept me in a good right path.

The true Gospel. No strings attached, no debt, No guilt, No signs, No symbols, No charms. Our sacrifice would not be enough anyway when compared to Christs sacrifice.

Very good testimony. This is also why I left the Orthodox Church to become just a Bible believer. The rituals that were once beautiful to my eye, I felt were spiritually dead. It also began to disturb me how the opening of our vespers was hymns to the angels and Mary. God alone should be praised. God opened my eyes, and now I can never go back to false teaching. And you are right, don't put your trust or faith in any denomination! Amen. Test everything against Scripture.
