In short, the gospel is God's plan of redemption (the only way to eternal life).
This was accomplished through Jesus Christ's life, death, and resurrection from the dead.
It is the good news of salvation for all who repent and believe.

Ppl have a hard time understanding they’re sinners because it’s so hard to conceive of how absolutely Holy and perfect God is. A lack of understanding that our good works are as ‘filthy rags’ compared to God’s Holy perfection.

My efforts are to be obedient and to repent. I DO trust and believe but I don't always know what that looks like, in my life. I lived a completely lost, sin-filled life until about 5yrs ago. Nobody escapes the consequences of their sin so I'm enduring. It is VERY hard. But not only is it nothing compared to the torture & agony Jesus suffered for us, my suffering is worth it for a chance at eternity with Him. Thank you, as always, Matt. You messages are always greatly appreciated. I pray for the return of your heath, too. 😊
