The second full theatrical trailer for Ridley Scott's sci-fi epic Prometheus. In this trailer, you will see why the Prometheus team went on the mission in the first place. Not correct, if you remember Alien 3, the Xeno's adapt to whatever lifeform they have bonded with. In Prometheus, they will appear in whatever form they take on when they bond with the Space Jockeys. The plot involves Fessbender altering the DNA of the proto-facehuggers so they can bond with the Space Jockeys(inadvertently also creating the full lifecycle). The Xenomorph will therefore be the Space Jockey version, and will also be the very first Xeno.

From a 1:55 on, crazy intense! Totally has the Alien feel too, considering it's good old Ridley Scott. Guy never ceases to amaze.

Actually Bishop's a total hero in Aliens(similar themes to T2, she weary of him because he's a robot, but the programming has changed).... he saves Ripley in that awesome climax.

Basically it's the prequel to Alien, it's set on the crashed derelect ship that you saw John Hurt and company visit about 30 years after this film occurs. Basically this Crew goes in search for the origin of life after finding a message from "the gods". But this being Prometheus(or Frankenstein as most of us know it), they end up creating a monster far worse than anyone could possibly imagine, after stealing the technology of life from the "Gods".

They create the Xenomorph....

The Space Jokey or Engineers are the same. In Alien one was found sitting in the same chair piloting the air craft but was impregnated by a facehugger (the eggs on the ship were disturbed). And the after credit scene of Prometheus shows us the result of the impregnation of a Space Jokey by the giant facehugger or Trilobite.

Zeus then punished him for his crime by having him bound to a rock while a great eagle ate his liver every day only to have it grow back to be eaten again the next day

No it's not, it's just the Prequel. The climax of the film features the "first" Xenomorph and it's going to leave it at that. It wont be like the Xenomorph in Alien too much, but Ridley will leave us to believe it evolved into it. It's still a Xenomorph though and as he said, we will recognize it. There's even the suggestion we will hear a transmission from the Nostromo right at the very end of the film....

Conceived as a prequel to Scott's 1979 science fiction horror film Alien, rewrites of Spaihts' script by Lindelof developed a separate story that precedes the events of Alien, but which is not directly connected to the films in the Alien franchise. Took this from wiki and Yes this is a prequel but its not connected to alien its just in the same universe as you can read =P

I rarely feel the need to go to the movies but Ridley Scott, Space Jockey and the crashed ship from Alien? I am there with bells on.
