One of the best sci-fi movies made in the last 20 years, the movie manages to convey an incredibly deep and vague story all at the same time. The replay value of this movie is incredible, I still continue to watch it most weekends and learn new theories about the story. Incredible.

Xenomorphs ARE the Bio Weapons. No, there are no Eggs in Prometheus and it's not implied that there are anymore Eggs in the other tombs. I know that the Deacon was not the first. I never said it was.

There is no doubt that this is an OFFICIAL extension of the Alien series. That "siren" you hear at the end is also in the Alien trailer. The 3D hologram of a ship resembles the one from Aliens. The trailer is alluding to some kind of sticky lifeforms infesting the human bodies. Also, the shot of the alien sitting at the cannon with his stomach blown out was in the 1979 film (which looks great in HD by the way). Most of all, Ridley Scott DIRECTED ALIENS.

Is it just me or does it look like there is a 'face hugger' at 2.00 mins? Plus you hear them shout 'cut it off' right before this moment. So I think that we will at least see the Alien from the original for a bit of the movie?

In short no, the reason it isnt a prequel is because the sequal to prometheus would need to be alien. i can see why there would be some confusion. It is set in the same canon universe as Alien, but its not a prequel as such.

Correction: Ridley Scott directed the original film "Alien" not the sequel "Aliens", which was directed by James Cameron. A small distinction but an important one!

because in prometheus that was not the only tomb. if you see the Mural on the wall, that room carried the eggs at least i think. because it was another part of the Tomb, they were stealing from The Xenomorphs DNA and using it to create Bio Weapons, the Deacon at the end of prometheus was not the first alien
