This movie was so incredibly awesome. It was not exactly what I expected it to be about, but the fact that it sets itself up for a sequel (indirect spoiler alert) means that people might be able to see what they didn't in this movie. I would give this movie a 9.5/10

This movie is AMAZING!...To be honest, I was an idiot and didn't catch the chance to see it in theaters, that's why I went out yesterday and got it on blu ray. WORTH IT...That's just me, I'm a fan of Alien and Aliens so I knew I was gonna love this film!

I had only glimpsed it when I had first watched it, I'm glad to see I'm not the only person who put together that the space jockey was a crew member. Sweet. Can't wait!

Kingdom of Heaven was a good movie, and I loved Legend. As a child it was one of my favorites. I understand it's not in the style of most Scott movies: lots of violence, gore..but it was dark and had Tim Curry as the devil, which was awesome. You didn't mention Hannibal, American Gangster, GI Jane, White Squall, these were good as well.

while it is a prequel its about the human-like lifeforms that are keeping the aliens on the ship and there relationship to us, it is not about the aliens from the other movies but our origins from space based on the ancient astronaut theory, and and it explains why the company that sent the ship there in the first movie knew where to look.

I can't wait to see how this ties into the Alien saga. It has something to do with the crashed spaceship and pilot in the original movie, right?

As some trailers do, this gave too much away, it is really really obvious that they crash their ship into the alien one to stop it.

Ridley Scott's track record has been spotty. Here are my favorite Ridley Scott movies: Alien, Blade Runner, Gladitor, and Black Hawk Down. When he's good, his movies are great. Stay away from Kingdom of Heaven, Legend, and 1492. Thelma and Louise is OK if you like chick flicks.

r u serious?? the "Space Jockey" engineer in this is a completely different one to the one discovered in the film Alien. Its even a different ship and planetoid. This was intended by the directors, they're slowly trying to carefully build up to the events of the original film Alien. And explain exactly how those eggs came about and what happened to that Space Jockey in that chair.
