I am certainly not an historical expert. But I am a huge historical enthusiast. I find your videos on Legio X, Equestris, parts one and two, to be the finest in my experience. Congratulations to you, sir. I have subscribed and will continue to watch for more content such as this. Thank you!!

I just imagine Crastinus must have been the highest ranked soldier in the whole roman army at that point and also the most battle experiences, and wonder if he did not just sacrifice him self in battle like you sayd amongs his loved commrads understanding this would be among his last battles, wanting to end it fighting with the men he had led for 16 years to glory rather than facing the civilian life that probably did not suit him. What a man, and what a life he must have led.
3 videos in and already my favorite channel, keep the great work up and you will be huges my friend👍👌💪

This channel reminded me of Historia Civilis when it was just starting with the narration and mic. And also tackling very interesting topics from Roman History.
I can't wait for your future videos since your series feels a bit more a "Band of Brothers" rather than a documentary.

When I make a video on a Legion, I try and go into detail only in the battles it greatly influenced. As you can tell by the length of these 2 parts, the 10th Equestris was quite the dominant Legion in almost every one of Caesar's battles! I hope I painted a picture of just how much of Caesar's reputation was built on this legion alone... The Roman Legions need more respect!

I want to thank everyone for the support you gave me! You will forever be more than mere "citizens" to me! ;)

The individual Leg X veteran taking out the horse with a javelin after stepping forward with a rebuke defending his honor...if accurate, that sounds like a great example of glory in war.

I can't believe how detailed this video is. All those edits and clips are perfectly matched!!! I'm even more interested in Rome history now ;)

Dude... This is so fucking cool. You literally told the full story of the most famous roman military unit of all time!

The balls on that guy javelining the horse were massive enough to protect from 10 legions worth of javelins. Reminds me of that battle somewhere in france where the spaniard emissary said they would talk about capitulation after death.

The X is just unstoppable, unbelievable how Caeser deploys the same tactic over and over and still wins.
Truly a great combination, a charismatic general and honorable men

Amazing work
Would love to hear more stories of Roman legions, the legio V Alaudae personally raised by Caesar of gallic legionnaires or the XXI Deitorana the only legion raised by a foreign nation then incorporated to the army
