As a fellow "Prairie Boy" from the great province of Saskatchewan I can assure you this is an anti "eastern canada" song.... the east has been feeding off of us in the West since confederation and we are long sick of it. Colter puts that sentiment out perfectly.

Saw him live in a small venue, he looks even younger in person, his voice is amazing live!! Soft spoken lets his singing do all the talking. Thank for your reviews.

Bald Butte is one of my favorites from Colter, I highly recommend it for something that really shows off his storytelling capability.

Excellent pick, if you want to hear him paint a beautiful picture of Montana, listen to Colter cover an Ian Tyson song called Bob Fudge. Doesn’t get any more Western than that. Cheers from a former Saskatchewanian.

There is a musician on YouTube who has a similar voice to Colter Wall's voice! You have to react to him my man!!! This dude's voice is even lower than Colter's voice and he is only 19 years old I think. In this video you can hear what I mean, it is titled: ""Snake Mountain Blues Colter Wall (Townes Van Zandt) Cover by Efe Sayin"".
