I first understood this from the perspective of martial arts. When you stand tall, you might look more intimidating, but you actually become more vulnerable. You become a bigger target. You lose your grounding. So, keep low, keep humble, and maintain your ground. Don't overreach. Maintain what you have and thereby maximise it. That's efficiency.

I think Taoism is a good philosophy for life.for example I had multiple strokes due to trying to exert control over external events. Now I have learned there’s a natural flow to life, let it flow without interference. Get out of your own way, this is a key concept
