She didn’t look down on him. She helped lift him up. Such a humbling story.

All he needed was a reminder that he was once a good person and could be one again.

The judge being there for his release was a classy move.

The fact that the judge showed up for his release 10 months later and that they are still in touch today showed him that she truely did care and wasn't just doing it for show at the time and then dismissing him from thought and moving on to the next prisoner.
That probably helped a lot.

I think the embarrassment and shock of seeing her again is exactly what he needed
Respect to them both

Those tears are genuine, he suddenly found a good side.

We need more judges like her. She saved his life, literally saved his life.

She pulled a mirror up to that man and showed him who he truly was a good person who made mistakes

The story of Mr. Booth and Judge Glazer was so heartwarming and inspiring. I thought the Judge stepped on Mr. Booth's toes without scuffing his shoes by not embarrassing him as having been former classmates, but rather reminding him of how he had been a friend and the "nicest kid" in middle school and encouraged him to help others and lead a lawful life. Hats off to Mr. Booth for making the decision to completely turn his life around and it's so great to know they have stayed in touch. That story, IMO is one that needs to be told in a book and a movie to give other kids in trouble help.

As a felon in law school, this literally brought tears to my eyes.

I say it constantly, it's never too late to change but it is one of the hardest things you can do.

Someone reminded him that he was once a good person and that it's never too late to change! Respects to Mr. Booth and a million thanks to the judge!
