So, your regular BI / PIP / & Comprehensive will pay for Injuries & Damages to your vehicle even if you were in a hit and run or the other party was under insured or had no insurance?? It's just that if you don't have UM, your rates are subject to increase as if you had the accident on your own? With UM, if that person has no insurance, your rates aren't subject to increase due to the accident. Is that right? - =/

I had accident 3 days ago
A car was coming from the front it was on our road
We pulled of the road to avoid hitting other car and they didn’t stop
We injured badly
And on my policy i have uninsured motorists body injuries
Can i do something for my medical expenses?

I like in Florida ( no fault state) I have collision and comprehensive Total loss coverage? If my state pays for whether or not it was my fault would I still need that?

I am so confused about the difference between Uninsured/Underinsured BI and PIP... if I currently have unlimited PIP, doesn't my PIP pay for my injuries in ANY auto accident (my fault / their fault / hit & run / underinsured)??

I've spoken with an AIS agent here in California about the Mercury Auto Insurance I have and she cannot explain to me what coverage I have or need that would cover me in the event of an underinsured property damage to my vehicle. I paid cash for my vehicle and I want to be fully insured in the event someone else hits me and totals my vehicle. The Mercury rep pawned me off onto the AIS Agent and I'm left feeling even more frustrated. She seems to think I'm SOL.

If someone else was driving my car who doesnt have the insurance and they had an accident and they are at fault. Would my uninsured coverage cover it since the other driver who was driving my car doesnt have the insurance at all and was driving my car just once???

In a situation where the guy that hit me is underinsured. My insurance is picking up the rest, but claim that I still have to pay my deductible even though I was not deemed at fault. Is this how that's supposed to work? Why would I have to pay my deductible as the victim here? I was also told by a friend that my premiums will increase because of this too. Wth is up with that?

Does uninsured motorist bodily injury cover passenger as well? By I mean passenger I mean friends or people who doesn’t live with me. How would this work if the at-fault driver does not have insurance and my passenger and I get injury?
