You need to clarify that original taekwondo from general choi was made for self defense when in the 1950's korean war, soldiers would have taekwondo as a tool when they didnt have a weapon, but some say it was already a thing since 1940 but named in 66

ITF stems from thay and thats why is more focused in self defense and power. In the 1960's. Whats why itf also has self defense demonstrations, and weapon training

WT is more modern and its just for sport and competition, and making points. 2000's

In conclusion, ITF is better for the real world while WT is just for medals and money

You should do the same with traditional Korean Tang Soo Do

There is itf taekwondo, there is wt taekwondo, and there is taekwondo. When you understand that, you should have learned a lot about korean history and politics, about martial arts in general and of course about real taekwondo.
