Day 5 of the arrivals for the 2023 Australian International Airshow has been a busy one. With the weather taking a turn, being overcast combined with showers, which made filming difficult at times, but paid off with some great contrast towards the end of the day.
The The Republic of Korea Air Force Aerobatic Team, Black Eagles 블랙이글스 flew two practice sessions today, with both being different from each other, showing the diverse skill of this team under a low cloud base.
The United States Air Force rolled in this evening, bringing with them a trio of Lockheed Martin F-22A Raptors, plus, for maybe the last chance you'll get in Australia, to catch the mighty McDonnell Douglas F-15C Eagle, that will soon depart their base in Japan to return stateside.
Dragging the fighters from afar, was performed by again, another last opportunity to see the wonderful McDonnell Douglas KC-10A Extender, in the twilight of it's distinguished service with the USAF.
It was accompanied by the venerable Boeing KC-135R Stratotanker wearing the markings of 'Sioux City'.
Last but not least was the arrival of the Honeywell Aerospace Boeing 757 Test Bed aircraft, an interesting aircraft to say the least.
This years Avalon airshow is shaping up to be something unique, with a few more arrivals taking place before it officially starts next Tuesday.

Great to see USAF bringing in some hardware a long way from home.

You missed the USAF C17 that flew down from Darwin which arrived at around 9:20pm, I was at the Speedway and saw it come in from there.

How do you know when the planes will get in? Is it flight radar24 or just guesswork?
