Easy Hors d'Oeuvres

Once in a while, I make something simple to serve with drinks, like figs wrapped in prosciutto, but mostly, I like to find delicious little appetizers that need no cooking at all.

Store bought crushed up Lays potato chips are fine....as long as theyre in a silver bowl

1) Warm the potato chips up in a low temp oven and toss them with some fresh herbs and/or spices;
2) Warm the cashews as well. They get sweet and buttery. Add light sea salt salt if unsalted;
3) Poke the cherry tomatoes all over with a toothpick, marinate in GOOD vodka (save the leftover marinade vodka to make Bloody Marys). Serve with toothpicks and celery salt for dipping. Boom...! Bloody Mary Cherry Tomatoes;
4) Invest in some NICE serving bowls;

A number of years ago I went to a “foodie” convention in SF & Ina had a booth there. I was a HUGE Ina Garten fan. Had ALL of her cookbooks & watched her show faithfully. I was SO excited to say hello & meet her. I stood in a very long line for almost an hour & when it was my turn to speak to her she was insufferably ARROGANT & Dismissive. I was so very disappointed in her rudeness. I guess I got to see the “real Wizard” behind the curtain & I’m sad to say she wasn’t pretty, or kind.
