Ankle flexibility exercises: toe and calf raises, ankle rotation, "windshield wipers": Keep heels together and point feet out wards then in, like windshield wipers.

I am a beginner at proper form but found this kick easier than expected because I have been a yoga practitioner for 12 years.
If you can practice doing "down dog" position and can get your heels to touch the ground, you will have an excellent ability to flex your feet with a properly lengthened and stretched achilles.

Dorsiflexion + lateral rotation of your foot if you wanna be specific
