The wrap around shot of Smith and Lawrence in the original Bad Boys is one of the coolest shots ever. I think that shot alone was a big reason Smith became a megastar. Dude knows what looks cool and how to capture it

"The rock", "The island" & the first "Transformers" movie are in my mind absolutely great movies meanwhile the others are maybe cheesy, dated or forced but they are always fun, entertaining or guilty pleasures like Bad boys 2 & Armageddon

I can recall walking out of the theater with my friends when Transformers first came out back when I was in college and there were a couple of guys in their mid to late 40's walking out in front of us and one of them said to his buddy, " I'm telling you, Bay is BACK!". 🤣 Idk why that was funny to hear, but it was.

Michael bay was pretty much destined to direct the transformer movies. His CGI and use of great fight sequences is whats needed in a transformers movie. Thats the whole purpose of transformers while keeping the story simple. Like DBZ
