Read the story:

Jonathan's mother, Simonetta, found this little poem on what would have been Jonathan's 21st birthday, just over one month after his death. She was checking his Facebook page to see if anyone had posted any wishes. Many friends did. Their expressions of love brought new tears to her eyes.
When she saw this poem, posted by Jonathan, she was particularly surprised by its clarity. For some time, Jonathan's poetry had been mostly short fragments - often confused or difficult to interpret. She said, "God allowed me to find this on Jonathan´s birthday - a birthday present for me!"

Oh, how I love blessed Jesus
the one who died to save us.
He makes me laugh like I was Beavis.
He is my strongest reason,
the only one who stays through the seasons.
He picks up my broken pieces.
He´s there in ervery stroke of genius,
He forgives me for my constant treason.
Been watching since I was a fetus.

Simonetta Carr is the author of the book:
Broken Pieces and the God Who Mends Them.
Schizophrenia Through a Mother´s Eyes,

A beautiful & insightful poem, in the spirit of William Cooper, put to music by Gerhard Wagner. God ultimately restores the broken pieces, but in His place Parents, family & loved ones have try to do it. My own son, who's artistic gifts, were rooted in his faith, looked forward to release from this body of death & glory in the arms of Jesus. I Thess. 4:13 I give thanks for Christian parents & loved ones, who strive for comfort & healing for their broken child, spouse or friend. That too is a lonely walk as so few understand mental illness.
