If that's what they are doing, I will just keep shopping for just the things on my list, I hate it when they move stuff around !

Just because it’s a marketing ploy doesn’t make it a scam. All products are by design meant to appeal. It’s not a seductive - it’s called marketing

My mom worked at a store in the’50s that sold an item @ “10¢ each or 9 for 99¢”… so, buy 10 for $1 or 9 for 99¢ 🤔?! But people still thought they were getting a deal

That's when you go food shopping with a list, & you stick to just what's on your list.

10 for 10 deals are not bad deals. Buy a case, take it home, don't buy that item until you run out. You are actually saving money by purchasing a large quantity at one time as long as it's something you would normally eat. Especially now with the prices going up. Buy it while its a dollar a can because tomorrow it's going to be 1.25 a can.

Now that you know this, use it to your advantage. Stick to your list and ignore the fragrance. Never shop on an empty stomach, it ALL looks good.

Story time.
The hidden rotten food thing happened to me once. I always used to buy mangoes by the box with just one layer. One day I decided to buy a box with two layers and only checked the 6 on top. When I got home and went to put them away I saw that 4 on the bottom were half black. Now these are authentic alphonso mangoes. Not cheap. I was planning to have a huge argument and giving the people in charge a piece of my mind. To my surprise they gave me a new box without any issues and gave me what I spent on the original box as store credit. Haven't been many times in my life where I walked away disappointed and elated at the same time 🤣

Talk about marketing/manipulation! At about 7:00 there’s a clip from South Park showing a Subway spokesperson and the very instant the words “healthy way to eat fast food and lose weight” are spoken, YT cut straight to an ad for Noom.

Ikea is a pain on doing these things. One reason we stopped going. Want to buy one or couple things. You have to walk for an hour just to get it and get out. Waste of time.

The difference between "organic" and "regular": About $2 per pound! XD

And I once saw a sign for $2.99 organic pineapples. Quite the deal, since that's what places around me charge for a regular pineapple. The catch: These things were SMALL! They looked like hand grenades! XD I passed and bought a normal-sized "regular" pineapple for the same price and it was delicious.

I used to go to Costco just to eat up all their free food. Then just leave. Used to do this 3 times a week. Saved me a ton of money. Then invested it. Because really well of. And now never step foot in Costco. They do not have the best prices or products. For generic stuff they are fine.

Canada use to have The Woolco stores. 4.99, 10:99, 15.99 and 99.99. It was meant to throw everyone off. Walmart bought out their stores in1994 and kept the Woolco staff to compete here.

There were cheaper stores, Walmart made more money. That is why thy are still in Canada.

Then came The Dollar Stores, which are reasonably priced and sell everything. I think more people shop there.

In Canada the politicians want us to pay extra tax. Which costs us more, so you are no farther ahead.

Then you get G.S.T. on top of that. Shoppers Drug Mart has a produce aisle in freezers in Ontario.

The staff there is always nice and has helped me out in the past. Giant Tiger is also a great low price store which has everything and low prices on groceries. Sharen

Dont forget to twist off those tomatoes on the vine, dont pay for stems. Who is paying 10.00 for grapes, you will when they are 1.99 lb and the put several pounds in a bag you will never finish. Watch those date people all have a short life since covid. I have never thrown away so many condiments in my life, shop smart and good luck.
