The 2023 Nissan X-TRAIL Ti-L e-POWER with e-4ORCE – to give it its full name – is based on the slick new fourth-generation X-TRAIL and brings a high-tech hybrid all-wheel drive powertrain.

But at around $60,000 on the road, the X-TRAIL Ti-L e-POWER is up against some heavy-hitting opposition that extends far beyond its obvious family SUV rivals.

We sent Bruce Newton to the Australian launch of the X-TRAIL e-POWER to see if the innovative tech is worth the extra spend.

Had my e-Power Ti-L for 7 months now...best car I've ever had, and I've had dozens at all price-points. Just to clarify; other than the name there is NO comparison between the T33 e-Power and ANY previous X-Trail models, it has re-written the X-Trail book...

Did you do any fuel economy tests during the X trail test drive? With the RAV4 continually increasing in price and now in the high $50’s for the Hybrid Cruiser AWD which is the closest feature match to the X trial, the price gap is closing considerably!

I have been a longtime subscriber to your YouTube channel and I appreciate the valuable insights and reviews that you provide on various automotive topics.
I am writing to inquire about the availability of ProPILOT Assist Park on the Nissan X-Trail in Australia. I understand that this feature is currently available on select models in some regions, including Japan and Europe, but I am not sure if it will be offered on the Australian model of the Nissan X-Trail.
I am interested in knowing if and when this feature will be available on the Australian model. Given your expertise in the automotive industry and your experience reviewing various Nissan vehicles, I was wondering if you could shed some light on this topic.
Do you have any information on whether Nissan will offer ProPILOT Assist Park on the Australian model of the Nissan X-Trail in the near future? If not, do you know if there are any other parking-related features or technologies that will be available on the Australian model?

I appreciate any insights or information that you may be able to provide on this topic. Thank you for your time and assistance.

Best regards,

Totally agree. Fabulous drive. Responsive and so EV like to drive. Serene motoring in comfort and safety.

We test drove it recently and were blown away. My brother gets his in April. First hybrid I really like.

Apart from being able getting one the Toyota is better for the money.. going to the hybrid on all models adds under $3, 000 to the price unlike the silly price most of the rest that's on the market want to charge.

Scratchy hard plastics on the door tops…even on the top spec! Even the 2012 T31 ST X-Trail had soft door tops. The boot is also smaller on this T33 model, than previous T31. The fact that the 2012 ST 4WD was able to be had for under $30k drive away makes this seem ludacris. I think I’ll keep the old girl 😂
