From the moment that Katie arrived in the world, it was clear that she was special. Born 14 weeks early and weighing just over a pound, she spent the first three months of her life in the NICU, fighting to survive without parents.

My daughter was born at 2.5 lbs. To think of her in NICU alone....they used to have to make me leave so I'd go home and rest. It was difficult. Preemies need touch and love. Never alone, never again. God bless you for selflessly taking her into your hearts.
