I was the first white child placed in a black foster home in GA in 1980 which was very controversial at the time. My foster family is the only family I have ever known who loved me unconditionally regardless of what other people thought! I am so glad the world has changed for the better and this young man has such a loving family after being in foster care for so long!

Love this so much! My parents adopted my best friend when we were teenagers. Here we are 18 years later, still best friends and sisters!

You have me crying over here. When that kid was being walked over there by the social worker ... priceless.

Many people don’t realize just how IMPORTANT it is for young foster children to interact with other kids. It teaches them social skills without lecturing, and even more importantly (especially in this boy’s case) it teaches them about familial love without making it hard to grasp.

To the untrained eye, it’s just two boys playing games and eating Pop Tarts. But to folks like myself, it’s the early formation of brotherly love, and it’s so sweet to see.

I cried when I saw his face seeing that he was going to be adopted. The relief of coming home. Finding home.

The narrator's voice when he says "poptarts" sends shivers down my spine.

Props to any family who adopts and treats a child as their own. These are the things we need to unite around.

In Tennessee we lived just north of Chattanooga. My son had a good friend TY, one time at the store we see Ty and his younger brother. My wife and I talk to him and asks how has he been? The answer was slow and he held back tears. He told us that his Mom had past away from a stroke. His dad was locked up. His younger brother was able to stay with a relative but did not want him there. He was sleeping on the street not able to get much to eat. Without hesitation my wife and I told him that he was coming over for dinner. He politely said yes. After dinner we told him that he was part of our family now. We gave him a bed and a key to our house and told him if he needs anything please let us know. With what we did for him and those 2 years he Graduated High School. He thanked us and said if we did not help he might have been dead from no where to go. I got a job in another state and offered him the opportunity to come stay with us. He wanted to stay in TN and go to college there. My wife stays in touch and he seems to be doing well. As we try to be the best we can, I believe that helping TY was a decision I didn’t share with others to be bigger but to be humble and make a Difference for Him
