1/8th OZ Pink Crappie Jig with Lake Fork Trophy Lures Baby Shad

TINY YAMPA RIVER FISHING ROD & OTHER RODS I USE

CATCH & COOK RECIPE
20-30 CRAPPIE Fish Fillets (Other Fish Works Great TOO)
Full 12oz Bottle of Frank's Red Hot Sauce (I prefer the buffalo sauce)

BATTER MIX
2 Cups all purpose flour
1 tablespoon of black pepper
Salt is optional, Franks already has seasoning

I have watched this video more times then I can count. Lol. I always find myself coming back to it because it is such a beautiful video. You're catching absolute slabs and spending quality time with your father making beautiful memories together. So every once in a while I will come back and re-watch this video. Just so I can remind myself that spending time with your father or just family in general and doing things that you all enjoy..creates such amazing memories with the people in your life that are the most important and you love so deeply. I live in Minnesota and two years ago on the lake my cabin is on, I caught a 17.5 in crappie and it was a literal monster and I still have the picture of it

When I was a child, we would go to the spillway on the Ross Barnett near Jackson MS. The water ran fast so, we would have to throw up stream with a jig. We would start counting 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 if we didn’t catch a fish or get hung up in the rocks we would count to 6. Then 7 then 8..
ONCE YOU GET DIALED IN ITS PARTY TIME.
I WAS 10 or 12 I don’t remember exactly but that was close to 50 years ago. They weighed anywhere from 2 to 4 pounds. I used to have photos but after divorces, moving all over the sates it disappeared. But your excitement reminded me of this story I just told you

My brother-in-law came to the U.P. of Michigan from below the bridge for the 4th, raving about this recipe. He made some up with some largemouth he caught up here and I was impressed. I just did a couple of packs of crappie and big bluegills with the wing sauce today and they were fantastic!
