incredible fish, and I believe its a direct product of the huge increase in catch/release fisherman over the last 15 years. My fathers and his friends days of coming home with so many redfish his 18ft boat was 2in from drawing water are OVER . Today we have cameras, no need to kill 150 fish just to prove you caught them. I always turn the big ones lose and eat one or two just barely legal ones. I'd love to see state records get broken every couple of years in every category. these arem't fish he's catching, they're priceless memories of the kind that keep you fishing for life and videos that teach and inspire others to do the same. The Pennsylvania record for a white crappie is 4 lbs, 3 oz, caught in Hammond Lake in 2000 by Richard A. Pino.
That is seriously one of the biggest Ive ever seen. Wonder if you might have a state record? did you look it up?

Hell yeah spaghetti platter crappie. You can catch them just north of ne but there so big and heavy there mouths rip free and you can only get a few in.

this is why i crappie fish... well that and they're tasty LOL. i've netted a few for friends that touched 3lbs, but i've NEVER boated one myself (and i'm 40 years old, been fishing from first memory)
