Pariah Nexus: Should you buy it? Unboxing and Review!

Pariah Nexus gives me my first unboxing in like 2 whole years so yay :D
Consider this a mini review of Pariah Nexus and my thoughts on who this is really for. Despite the negativity that's been surrounding this box it DOES have a place for certain people. But for the regular kill team player?

Another spruce of flayed ones would even it out a bit price and balance wise. I’m one of the few. It shows as no longer available online in Canada and the states. I don’t like what that could mean.

Nice review mate, I passed on this as it was just too expensive, all I really wanted was the terrain and new Cryptek. Just too much to tempt me to get the set sadly, especially as it's not really a starter set.

I really wanna get into Killteam. But I have this horrible feeling, that the moment I buy the core rulebook, GW Will announce Killteam second edition or some shit and the rulebook I just got will be worthless.

I'm very happy with this box for all the reasons why you said people who would like it will. I love space marines and necrons and the new units will fit perfectly into my existing 40k and kill team forces. There's £100 worth of minis (when they're released separately by GW) so the kill team stuff is essentially free. They could have just dumped in a sprue of necron warriors and assault marines and called it good. This gives us much more value, with an easy path to add more variety into your kill teams - just grab 40k Recruit Edition and you're done. As it stands, I'm happy. The new and updated stats for kill team look good and the terrain is excellent. It looks like a new revised kill team starter set looks likely to be out later this year too, so it's a win all round.

Helpful review! As a KT player I ultimately decided to get a "budget" Pariah Nexus, i.e: bought the board/terrain/book/cards off Ebay for about $45, and then got a Recruit edition box for $50. So, essentially budget Pariah Nexus for $95!

Totally agree about board size. Had the same rant when I bought the 9th edition command edition box.

My question is, why does everyone seem to feel that the Pariah Nexus data sheets are the new data sheets for all of Kill Team? It’s my understanding that Pariah Nexus is an expansion to Kill Team, so the data sheets only apply if you are playing Pariah Nexus. If you choose to play just the base game, or the base game and one of the other expansions, nothing in Pariah Nexus is applicable. Unless an FAQ for the base game comes out changing the base game data sheets to Pariah Nexus data sheets, they simply only apply when you choose to play Pariah Nexus, this is why it’s an expansion to the game, not a revamp of the game.

Glad the kill team stuff is that cheap for you guys across the pond. Here in the US the scalpers are selling each part for roughly $30 each. So for the book, board, and 2 sprues of the terrain (yes they are selling them in singles) it will cost about $110-120. That’s the average eBay rate as of March 6th. The whole box is just $160. I really hate scalpers.

I picked it up just because it's a new kill team product. I was able to trade the faction I don't play for the faction I do. So I can add to my watch and successor chapter. Thanks for the honest review and triple hello.

i think the board + terrain looks really cool, i also added the Necron scenery piece "Convergence of Dominion" for a much more visual striking and dramatic look. This is my entry into Killteam and by adding the rulebook + Immortals seems like i am all set to go
