I love that Szarekhs lore basically boils down to him diddling around outside the galaxy before hurtling back screaming “BUGS! BUUUUGS! WAKE THE FUCK UP, WE GOT A ROACH PROBLEM!”

16:39 Wasn’t Szarekh friendly with Sanguinius or has that now been retconned?

Hey Ian, will you be doing all the codex lore?

Wait, they used Vashtorr again? That fast? That really surprises me. I thought the guy was going to disappear into oblivion and behave like Belakor.

Ah, yes, the Galaxy's worst enemy: finding the plural for unusual words

I just want to say thank you Ian. I don't play the table top games, I haven't watched the shows, I read some books but far from all. And without all of the above, you make me enjoy 40k tremendously. Listening to you talk, without pretense or fluff, like a narrator on a serious documentary about gigantic cosmic, tragic and horrifying events has become my little 15min of peace after the day is over and the kids are down.
Thanks mate, keep up the good work.

Really would be nice to see the forces of chaos fighting the necrons or any body else rather than only the imperium. The necrons should abhor the forces and powers of the warp as much as the silent king despises the tyranids. Vashtorr leading demonic mechanical armies in large battles and wars against the necrons would be absolutely awesome

I misheard one of the lines as "gifs of the Omnissiah", and wondered why the Tech Priests were sending animated pictures of their gods to the Necrons.

Good to see Vashtorr is back in the lore. Vashtorr in a novel might be interesting. With Perturabo and the Iron Warriors perhaps.

Ok the end is a fucking plot twist I did not see coming.

So i think it's 2 possible explanations. The first is that they're just wrong. That its propaganda and we're being lied to. The second is that faith doesn't use the warp, or uses it in a different way. Easiest way to show that is to have an ork wagh enter the nexus and still work. Then you can assume faith uses the mechanism that the orks use

It's fitting that of all the Empyrean beings that would slip through cracks in the Pariah Nexus, it would be the forces of the Arkifane.

Undead Robots vs Corpse Robots vs Daemon Robots. Who will win? (Not the Robots Classic, obviously. One day, the Men of Iron might make their resurgence. Today is not that day.)

Necrons and the Ad. Mechanicus going at each other IN FULL FORCE sounds like such a fun concept.

Thank you for condensing the lore like this! The videos are the perfect length too.

Kinda not a fan of the twist at the end with Chaos getting involved. Like we finally get a storyline where the aliens of the setting get to shine and then now Vashtorr is here

Always meh to see Chaos shoved into a place xenos and non space marines could shine, thanks GW 😑

Assuming the human soul resides inside the human body, the warp is made out of soulstuff, and the patiah nexus primarily cuts off access to that soulstuff in the warp it could be that the key difference to the power of faith that let's it work inside the nexus is that it uses the souls inside the bodies of faiths practitioners as a source of soulstuff.

Or in otherwords magic draws from external power but faith draws from internal power. That being said there has to be a catch, I wouldn't be surprised if faith powers are bad for your health, but no one notices cause average human life expectancy is already trashed in the 41st millennium

YouTube recommended some rando’s video about this new lore.

So I immediately said to myself: silly YouTube, I bet if this random guy has a video, then surely Arbitor Ian made one already and is probably a gazillion times better.

And of course, Ian doesn’t disappoint! Thanks!

Once again I feel confident in saying the Silent King is the best failure in 40k. Everything he attempts blows up in his face, but my god does he have ambition. It blows up in his face, ambitiously. Has the Silent King ever, without a ton of asterisks, won?
