A common mistake horizon lines make while drawing is not starting out with the artist.

Clarification. If you don't know how and why perspective works, knowing about the existence of a horizon line or vanishing points won't help you. Simply because it all appears as a result of the work of the perspective mechanism. Without knowing how the entire mechanism works, it is impossible to accurately guess where its last elements will end up.

Seeing the mad scientist Hououin Kyouma in a bunny was not something I knew I needed, but I’m glad I got to see it. Kurisu was doing a decent job but wow Kyouma pulled that off

One trick that i always use with horizon lines is that no matter how far you are, if you're the same height, your eyes would still be on the same horizon line. Good to remember if you have multiple characters on a different distance from the camera. Decide on one character with their eyes on the horizon line and go from there

This makes sense if the perspective is looking straight forward, but it gets more complicated if you tilt the head of the viewer. What if you are looking up at something falling from the sky? What about something on the ground?

And how does that translate to a closeup, for example? Or if the viewer is looking up at someone?

Why do I always have more questions about the drawing than the mistake being corrected in these videos?

Yeah I keep making the mistake of not accounting for the body perspective changing above and below the horizon, every time I draw a character it's like they're being seen in orthographic view in blender lmao
