SCP 2800 is a Safe Class anomaly also known as Cactusman.
SCP 914 is a Safe Class anomaly also known as The Clockworks.

SCP-2800 is an anomalous male of Scottish descent, formerly known as Daniel MacIntyre, though SCP 2800 now refers to itself as Cactusman, the Spiked Menace. SCP2800 possesses an expanded genome that contains DNA from the saguaro cactus. SCP-2800 also has many anomalous characteristics that are consistent with the natural physical properties of the Carnegiea gigantea plant, more commonly known as the saguaro cactus.

SCP-914 is a large clockwork device weighing several tons and covering an area of eighteen square meters, consisting of screw drives, belts, pulleys, gears, springs and other clockwork.
When an object is placed in the Intake Booth, a door slides shut, and a small bell sounds. If the knob is turned to any position and the key wound up, SCP914 will “refine” the object in the booth.

This is the happiest ending cactus man could ever ask for. Glad he finally got a W.

“It’s just a test” - “Do not test biological items” - Every researcher assigned to 914’s last words.

A good-intending SCP that doesn't get twisted by the Foundation? That's rare.

Honestly, I'm not used to SCP stories being this optimistic. Usually any notion of using anomalies for the good of the wider world is swatted down within the fandom.

Cacti are known for their absurd resilience and universal adaptions, so of course he's a perfect rival for this practically immortal lizard.

682: Oh? You're approaching me?

2800: I can't recontain you without getting closer.

Cactusman powered up by 914 would be the best hero he could ever be.

I mean, I gotta be honest, I think putting Cactusman into the Clockworks in the hopes of creating an actual superhero is probably the most noble of the extremely stupid tests the Foundation runs so often, though I'm not a fan of them leaving out to him that the wider Foundation didn't sign off on this. Makes it feel like he doesn't have real informed consent. But at least this test has a purpose besides "Maybe we can learn another pointless detail that we won't use about this thing we're gonna keep in a box forever".

And I feel like Cactusman should work on a better title than "The Spiked Menace". Makes him sound like a bad guy. Or like J.J. Jameson got to name him

I'm just gonna pretend this is canon because he absolutely deserves this 😭

Good for Cactusman. Sometimes, we all need someone like him (especially in the SCP-Universe) in our lives.

Now this is how you do it. This is a believable extension/expansion of what was put into SPC 914 on very fine. This works in every way the 035 what if didn't, and I hope the channel continues down this route if they keep doing 914 stories.

682: I fear no man but that thing
Cactus Man: “ angry Scottish noises intensify” “death lizard shutters” 682: “scares me”

Finally an anomaly that deserves the 914 upgrade. 👏

You don't always get a happy ending in scp foundation
Truly heartwarming
All hail the cactusman

I love cactusman. It's not often there's a somewhat happy ending in a story for the anomaly, but honestly, with all the good will generated by him, he'd be a prime candidate as a public face for the foundation.

It seems implied that Cactus Man might have a kid out there somehow. We're definitely getting a part 2
Also, following the success of this, the foundation has a great opportunity they could take advantage of

Take other anomalies and form their own SCP version of The Avengers or the Justice League. Following this, the foundation could end up going public, basically becoming S.H.I.E.L.D. They could use their MTF squads and certain anomalies handle disasters caused by anomalies. I'm not saying it would be perfect, but thats kind of the point. It could become an entire series on this channel, like When Day Breaks, Desire camera, 914, what if and VS

Here's a list of anomalies that could become heroes in a similar fashion to 2800 in this video
4494, aka The Specter
4051, aka Your friendly Neighborhood Keter
2241, aka Wannabe Superhero
105, aka Iris
5151, aka The Black Knight
073, aka Cain
2295, aka The Bear With a Heart of Patchwork
999, aka The Tickle Monster

Can we have more positive SCP stories like this? It's a nice breath of fresh air and stops it from being all doom and gloom that the SCP universe sometimes becomes.

From a test that was strictly not allowed, to a real, powerful and kind superhero who by acident got into the sight of the world to the point the foundation couldnt do anything to keep cactus man secretive. A beutiful story indeed.

This probably means that at least in one universe, SCP-2800 is classified as Archon, meaning can be contained, but best not be locked in a box. Or is still safe just free roaming in a similar light to a certain literally blob of joy.
