SCP-610 is a Keter Class anomaly also known as The Flesh That Hates.
SCP-914 is a Safe class anomaly also known as The Clockworks.

SCP-610 appears to be a contagious skin disease at first with symptoms including rash, itching, and increased skin sensitivity. Within 3 hours
SCP 610 will cause blemishes resembling heavy scar tissue to form in the chest and arm areas, spreading to the legs and back within an additional hour, consuming the victim completely within five hours.

Initial reports of SCP610 came direct from the Russian government through undisclosable channels. These reports consisted primarily of disappearances of farmers in the region and were not considered until the local police, followed by the regional police, and finally a government dispatched agent all failed to report in within a 72 hour period.

SCP 914 is a large clockwork device weighing several tons consisting of screw drives, belts, pulleys, gears, springs and other clockwork. It is incredibly complex, consisting of over eight million moving parts. When an object is placed in the Intake Booth, a door slides shut, and a small bell sounds. If the knob is turned to any position and the key wound up, SCP914 will “refine” the object in the booth.

Bravo, this was perfectly executed. At first I thought this was just going to be another nonsensical story when the researchers once again accidentally set the clockworks to very fine, but adding the sarkicist element was just perfect. And the monster was upgraded just enough where it's a massive threat even more so then before, but not to unbelievable levels like was the case with 096, or 035. Well done.

I originally thought that they were going to put SCP-610 in on Very Fine on purpose, but the fact that it was an accident made the story that much better.

So this is essentially if the creatures from "The Thing" was made in the scp universe.

so basically they created an instance of SCP-001 "When Day Breaks"

The flesh that hates is almost like John Carpenter’s, “The Thing”. So I like the nod to him by having a character named Carpenter. Cheers!

Hate but love the flesh that hates, it's just so good but so horrific at the same time

At this point we should just have a compilation of Major SCPs put in with stuff that'd make them more powerful:
096 with a set of Crossbows
049 with a Set of Radiology Gear
173 with a Flashbang
082 with Gordon Ramsay's Cookbook

I feel like the clockworks' fine settings revolve around fixing flaws of the input object.
So a murder lizard for example would either
A- Become an even more potent killing machine
B- Overcome its hate towards life and adapt a more peaceful and happy life

Whenever working with SCP-914, there's always that one researcher who turned the settings at "very fine" when they're supposed to test it at "rough" or "coarse".
Man they need a strict method of doing the whole process step by step so that everyone can take it more seriously and do the test step by step with high precaution.
At this point I don't mind if the researcher was terminated for messing up. This would be a lesson for everyone in future

Thats even more terrifying than becoming a blob from scp 001 when day breaks. And in that case, your mind warps and gets corrupted trapping you in a infinite cycle of pain.

Clearly they managed to debrief the flesh at least. Very detailed recount of dialogue for a monster

SCP-610 vs SCP-001 when day breaks I really have no idea how this would turn out

An interesting alternate scenario thats entirely more volatile, and puts a totally different spin on why 'Super Fine' shouldn't be used on biological matter, there is a theory out there that SCP 914 is a part of Mekhane, the Broken God.

I can't imagine, if that's the case, it would react well to any kind off flesh let alone a Sarkhist entity.

I love how nobody noticed that Boston would have had to know that was in there or how willing the guy was to open his own locker when it Supposedly had a Sarkick book in it

It's great how they accidentally set it to very fine without knowing. The accidents that happen in these 914 videos are funny

Lazers, acid, spice soup thrower, maybe a combo of freeze and burn or just burn it and electrocute it back to SCP-914 and make it to Rough, it might go two or three times because it was enforced by that "very fine" setting I guess. At least Rough setting can purge those things.

The Thing reference is strong.

Not only Doctor (John) Carpenter, but the adaptation of the creature behaving just as The Thing did, plus the team and their behavior.

It’s always the biological SCPs that are the most horrifying
