All iPads: Won't Charge, Charges Intermittently or Other Charging Problems (7 Fixes)

This goes for all iPads. If your iPad is not charging, charging intermittently, charges slowly, only charging to a certain point or has other charging issues or problems then I give you 7 possible solutions to get you back up and running. Let me know which step or combination of steps worked for you.

This will work on the iPad, iPad mini, iPad Air, iPad Pro, etc.

Wow! Despite my doubt, I have followed your toothpick (I used a cable tie) and toothbrush tricks and my employer's ipad is now up from 2% to 65% and still charging, albeit slowly. Who knew the ipad had such poor dental issues! Thank you for your wisdom and knowledge, much appreciated.

WONDERFUL! Thanks! I notice if I mess with it with a toothpick, blow, tiny tweezers with magnifying glass & flashlight it seems to come on! This takes some time! Before I went to school the battery was 25%. When I came back it was 46%. How do you fix this slow charging?

Same thing happened to my iPad a few years ago and now here I am, same problem.
Interesting when I first power on while it’s plugged in the battery says 100%. Within a fraction of a second it jumps down to 32 or 29. I cannot get it to charge higher than 30%.
These batteries must just wear out. I use my iPad all day and I’m getting approximately three years out of them…
Being that mine does charge I’m still gonna try cleaning it…Thanks for the advice

Oh my god thank you so much! The power button and home button trick work so much and it is now charging 26%
