Does the Port-Based QoS function on this switch help with the bufferbloat in gaming? Or is the SQM in OpenWrt routers is still better when it comes to fixing bufferbloat in gaming?

Thank you for the video, I was curious about some of the QOS stuff and it answered my question. Impressive little switch for the price!

Hi Thanks for Video. How do you configure it if your router's IP address is 10.1.1.1? I had to disanle DHCP to do this, but when I try to use the LAG feature with my NAS, I was having issues galore, I assumes it do with the IP address. It seems use cant use it without issue if your router's address is not 19.168.0.1?

ax50 and sg108e both support static link aggregation. Which mean by connecting 2 rj45 cables between the 2, it will keep the connection alive when one of the 2 (rj45) cable suddenly failed/disconnected/gone? Thanks

Hi Van Tech Corner.
Im a newbies in this unmanaged/managed. First question is, .
Cable Ethernet must plug to Pro Switch first or Router first?

I have a question about the bandwidth control.
This switch can manage the bandwidth and the AP router of tp link also does have bandwidth control. But as I’ve noticed, the router gives an average speed when i set the QOS (example: I set it to 75mbps, the router speedtest gives 93mbps).
Does this switch provide exact or nearest speed limit? And as I read the comments below, you said its better to config on the router end than switch, why is that?

When TL-SG108 Starts for the First Time, We cannot Turn On Devices Connected to this Switch.

WOL is working Once the device goes Offline after being connected to the Switch.

Once we turn off the Switch and bring it back Online. WOL will not work.

Usually, I encounter this in the morning.

I turn on the Switch using a Smart Power Plug.

But I cannot remotely turn on NAS or PC connected to this Switch.

Is there any way we can avoid this issue?

Firmware Version 1.0.0 Build 20220930 Rel.35985
Hardware Version TL-SG108E 6.0

Nice video. It is an unmanaged switch, but you access the interface to show QoS, VLAN, etc. What is the difference for the others TP-Link that are smart or managed switch.
Thanks again for the video.

Hello, my TP-LINK TL-SG108E 8-port seems to randomly disconnect for a few seconds every now and again, I just did plug in play and haven't touched any settings. Do you know why this could be? Thanks

I have a modem and I want to buy a TP-Link AX10 for Wifi. I use two PCs through ethernet. I would like to segregate the Wi-Fi to IoT devices and two ethernet ports for my PCs. I think this little device can help solve this problem between the modem and router (so wifi router is port 3, PC 1 and 2 can go to Port 1 & 2). What do you think? And which VLAN setup would you recommend?
