I agree with the opinions expressed here up to a point. The theme is a bit pasted on and the card draw is more prevalent than it is in other games like Dominion where players have more control over the randomness. One thing that was not mentioned is that the crown and age track does have a small element of area control to the game depending on how rough the age cards are. But ultimately it is a next step game or a game one level above gateway. Good mid weight euro that can be played by new gamers and experienced ones, but might confuse non gamers and bore strong strategy gamers.

Is there a game that DOES the time travel 'feel' well? I like Temporum a lot but I haven't played that much - just got the game. I love your videos but I have had to realize that I sometimes like games you don't, and sometimes I don't like games one or more of you recommend. Won't keep me from continuing to watch and learn, so thanks for all the videos!

It seems to me that the mechanic stolen from dominion (multiple/variable playboards) is entirely at odds with the theme. There is an implication of consequence because of the linear timeline but because the cards are random the cards don't really link and there's no actual timeline presented (why would choosing cold war over summer of love cause cats or aliens to appear?). Maybe it would work nice a story creation tool.

I have to agree with them in a lot of parts. The luck of the draw concept isn't a big hit for me, and the theme is ok, but the repetative factor of the combo playing is not fun for me. The theme isn't really incorporated in the mechanics of the game. Sam and Tom did a good job of explaining that. You guys are so helpful for helping me choose games I want to play!

My cats said they will no longer watch Dice Tower videos =p

I have to say I agree with this 100%.  This is exactly how my wife and I felt about this one.Its very interesting at first and then just gets boring quickly.

sad. I thought this game looked neat; I liked the idea of changing the time stream and that affecting the people below you... but it looks like it doesn't really change the game at all when you change the time stream.  : /

I really loved the art for the cards in this game, like I would buy a print of the nanotech wonderland or age of cats art and hang them on my walls. It's a really big shame that the game itself is so bad.
