The best thing I like about you guys is your honesty about games. Always look forward to your reviews.  Have a great 4th of July.

I REALLY like the tile-maze "board" mechanism here.  I'm a big fan of both mazes and tile laying, and the tile mechanism here seems pretty great.  And I prefer a middle-to-light weight game to the intense heavy games. But I agree, it seems like it needs a little something...

Drakon is a great game to play with young kids. Easy rules, fun figures & colorful tiles.

Am I the only one who constantly imagines how playing a game with these guys would be xD.  Would be so much fun, especially with Sam.

Just wanted to say that I'm seeing a lot of different games so far this year, and they seem to hit and miss more than usual. As usual, thanks for your great efforts in reviewing so many games. I still got quite a lot on my list to buy (about 20 or so) so I'm not worried about this year's titles just yet... :D

Drakon went on my "to buy" list quite awhile ago, but low on that list. Well it recently went on sale for only $15, so I picked it up. Hopefully will play it soon. I like dungeon crawls, and yeah this looks really light, but different.

This game is a Tile Placement/Take That!/Dungeon Crawl/Party Game that should be on every shelf. This game has always hit grand slams.

The latest version of this, still very OOP, has sold for some decent money. I managed to get a copy off of eBay for a good deal not long ago. I'm still going to go for this new edition not only for the upgraded components, but also because the charm of the last edition smelling like literal dragon farts has gotten old.

Tom, next time you're over at Sam's place, I think you should see how many game box covers in his collection you can secretly rotate. ;)

I own a previous version, and there really aren't many differences in this one. The variable coin values and some of the powers are new, but that's it. And even the old version I had tons of house-rules for to make it playable. For example, we would have coin tiles only pay out once, mitigating the infinite profit loop.
Disappointing to see that they haven't updated the rules to more modern game standards.

How would you compare this to Gold Mine? If we enjoy that as a "once in a while short game", would Drakon be a good alternative?

Damnit, I want to get one of the following games: Alchemist, Cosmic Encounter, Specter Ops, Xenoshyft Onslaught.
I told to myself, if I spot one of those games on Tom's shelf, I will get that one. But I saw 3 of them, so the dilemma still exists :s

The best thing in this game is playing in Doubles. That´s when it really Shines.

Drakon is a very fun filler game in my opinion, just don't expect more from it.

Seems theyre attempting to justify its existence.

This seems like Dungeonquest "lite". Which is weird because Dungeonquest is already pretty basic.
