the criticism about the need for a FAQ really surprised me, given how much Tom adores Marvel Dice Masters - a game which MASSIVELY needed a FAQ from the day it was released, and which STILL doesn't have satisfactory answers to many of the outstanding questions about timing of effects and card interactions.

FYI. You can preorder the game for $15 off. Not sure how long this will last. Plaid Hat's web site says in 2-5 month the game will be available. So not bad of wait and a discount.

Frankly I have so many sci-fi themed games at this point, that currently from a theme only perspective it makes me want to stick with Letters from Whitechapel over this, despite it's own very dark theme.  I'd probably pass over both of them for Fury of Dracula, but I won't shell out the $$ for that unless it's reprinted.

The review does a good job presents the neat features of the game (cool minis, sci-fi theme, simple LOS)
But I'll still wait for something innovative in hidden movement games
they all play pretty much the same, and they all usually last longer than advertised

At 4:36, you mention that if an agent crosses line of sight of an agent, (s)he places the Last Seen token where the agent was last seen.  Plaid Hat came out a few weeks ago and said that you are also supposed to put your agent token on the board, showing which agent (s)he is.

In my copy of the game there are possible objective locations printed on the board. I dunno if you just think it's too small too see or that this has been changed. But i can (somewhat clearly) see the six locations for each objective with a number and a side of a die.

This looks promising, instantly reminded me of Letters from Whitechapel - which has always been a big hit for me. Adding this to the wishlist.

Instantly reminded me of Scotland Yard which is a game I still have on my shelf cause I loved it as a child :). It won't replace Scotland Yard cause that is a viable game for families and elderly people (so you can play it form 9 to 99 or something :p)... but I am definitely going to try Spectre Ops!

So does the agent place a mini on the board or not? Thought it was stated the agent only marks their movement on paper but the agent is clearly placed in the board otherwise how would hunter see him move? Also who places the “last seen here” Marker, agent or hunter? Not explained clearly

Does this replace "Escape from the Aliens from Outer Space"? I only ask, because I was about to pre-order that game, and this looks very similiar - with a few more components.

i hope this gets an expansion that adds new agents/hunters, objectives.
objectives are a key thing and right now it just feels like im a theif taking stuff in a military compound.

would be cool for the agent to be able to eliminate a hunter over a long peroid of time, just for that extra MGS-esque theme.

I'd very interested how this compares to Nuns on the Run, Escape from the Aliens in Outer Space and Ninja: Legend of the Scorpion Clan.
