Mandukya Upanishad (with karika) 6 | Swapna – The Dream state | Swami Samarpanananda

Mantra 4 discusses the dream state and nature of Atman associated with this state.

Mandukya Upanishad is the shortest Upanishad with only 12 mantras it. Gaudapada, who was the teacher of Shankaracharya’s teacher, Govindapada, wrote an explanatory Karika on it. This work popularly known as Mandukya Karika (that includes the Upanishad) is considered to be the first and most important work on Vedanta after the Upanishads.

The philosophy throughout the book is a clear presentation of Advaita Vedanta based on arguments. In the process, it decimates every other philosophy.

Have been listening to Mandukya Karika since the first class. First 4 class was simplified but felt the difficulty in 5th class.With patience stayed put in 6th class. Not crystal clear but certain things like 4 states with two of them having clear trait is more or less understood. Need few more classes for explanation & a concise discussion.
