This definitely makes me think Ocelot was the one Liquid sent to kill Kaz

Ocelot really did have it all figured out.
Felt so bad for Venom though. I mean, first the guy gets a life he didn't want. Then he meets a girl with whom he shares a mutual love with only to say goodbye to her for good, never to see her again. Then, he thinks Paz is still alive and he can't shake the guilt of being unable to save her only to realize she really was dead for good. Then you got that douchebag Huey...Then to top it all off, he dies for Big Boss at the hands of Solid Snake. What a shitty life Venom had. He had love, individuality, and his life taken from him. He's the one who truly lost it all. The pain that comes with being a phantom I guess.

Damn man. Kaz felt abandoned by his best friend and brother in arms.

Kaz was pissed that Big Boss dumped him after that cardboard box hot date in Peacewalker.

In the end, Kaz won the bet. His son ended up killing him, the patriots and even Ocelot

"One of us will have to kill the other..."

One of us is GRU Spetsnaz and still physically fit and able as well as a capable marksman able to ricochet bullets. The other is a one armed, one legged man with a bit of combat experience but mostly an admin role... My monies on Miller ^^

It took me years to realize that this conversation did exactly what Ocelot intended for it to do. Miller was put under the impression that Big Boss had been building up Outer Heaven and was operating out of it this entire time. If this was true though, then how and when did Big Boss take back control of Foxhound and manage to personally train Solid Snake?

Easy. Ocelot simply convinced Miller that it was Venom who took back control of Foxhound, not Big Boss. In reality, Big Boss set up Outer Heaven to act as a decoy for his real nation in Zanzibarland and put Venom in charge of it. Enraged at Big Boss's betrayal, Kaz personally trained up Solid Snake in order to destroy him. Big Boss planned for this all along, using the appearance of his death to blindside both the Patriots and the world just long enough for him to raise his nation in secret. The idea that Operation Intrude N313 was a smokescreen for Venom Snake's benefit was a ruse.

Solid Snake was no rookie. He was ex-Green Beret and was trained up by the best of the best. CQC, vast knowledge in multiple weapon platforms, survival tactics and more were all skills sharpened to a deadly point by Big Boss, 'Kaz' Kazuhira Miller, Colonel Roy Campbell and more. Ocelot bought Big Boss his entry pass back into the CIA and thus Cipher's good graces by stealing Venom's prior identity. This let him get closer than he ever got before to finding out what Cipher was up to, all while preparing to unleash hell on them. Kaz and Venom were just puppets in Big Boss and Ocelot's vast schemes.

Kaz simply played his role.

Kaz trained Solid Snake and Ocelot stuck with Liquid Snake. The circle was complete.

I like how full circle it comes, and now we know who assassinated Miller in 2005. It's so perfect how this interquel completes Kojima's saga.

You can see how Miller has been hurted. The way he treated Venom Snake, the way he cares about everything, the way he suspected It's just show how Kaz became after that event of GZ. He became too careful, and colder too.He put all of his effort to build the base, to help Big Boss. But he then realizes that he just helped the phantom of him. Big Boss used Venom Snake as a decoy, and Miller was just to make that decoy more realistic. If Big Boss or Ocelot told Kaz before, things should have turned out better for them

"What was it all for? If Kojima-san has some plan, what is it?"
"Kojima is working separately from Konami. To create his own company?"
"New Company?"
A gaming company above and apart from others- the true "Kojima Productions". Something created to maintain freedom. Independent of the struggles for supremacy, for personal profit. The cycles of budget constraints and delays. It'll be an development team, all right, but more. Kojima-san is building his own independent company. But... until it's complete, we have to continue playing and wait and see what happens until December."
"So that's the way it is. Five years ago, we've waited for this game. But now we really have lost it all. The missing link, and Hideo Kojima."
"One day, we may see the rest of missing link. Kojima is on vacation, as of now. He won't leave until December. He may be working secretly from them, to get back at Konami.
"Fine by me. I'll be waiting to see what happens. Until then, we better keep our hopes up."

I feel so bad for Kaz, just like Ocelot he would do anything for the Boss. Imagine discovering your friend and partner, lied to you, abandoned you for 9 years to rot, and when you thought he came back, it was just a puppet imitating him (and all their memories together with Venom are like a lie) plus Ocelot kept everything a secret from him.
Kaz deserved so much better.

You know what just hit me, this game actually establishes Kaz's downfall from hero to villain than it those Big Boss's. Think about it ever since MGS Peace Walker, Kaz character has evolved. He goes from a kind hearted and well spirited commander to a now broken, bitter guy who never smiles and does'nt anyone. sure we get this tragic scene of Snake walking down the hallway passing the dead bodies of infected staff and soldiers hes had to kill whist doing so we also get this amazing visual of his face slowly changing, but that's practically the only time we see Big Boss's demonic and tragic side, for the rest of the game up untill this after credits moment the person who now has suddenly fallen from grace surprisingly isnt the very character we ve been playing as; of. Its Kaz. And this little conversation between him and Ocelot about him hating Big Boss for his deception completely shows how far Kaz has fallen since the Mother Base attack. in GZ. So well done Kojima, you ve done it again. You've completely PLAYED US LIKE A DAMN FIDDLE with The Phantom Pain, for it show us nothing about how Big Boss falls from hero to monster.

"nine years ago, i thought everything had been taken from me, but now i really have lost it all. the boss, and the future we were building together." it hurts so, so much. kaz really did love big boss, that hadn't changed even during those 9 years.

It would've been amazing if of all TPP had this whole character arc about Miller starting to hate Big Boss instead of you know, just having a 2 minutes conversation after credits.
