You have 3 days to save Kaz. In MGS1, he was killed 3 days before the Shadow Moses Incident.

That cutscene is brilliant. Down to the emotion in Snake's voice, with him hyperventilating at the sight of his only friend, dead before his very eyes, then letting out a scream of dismay. This is one of Keifer's best moments, and it's so short too.

It’s actually really fucked up that mission keeps going even after the 3 day deadline and you can discover Miller’s dead body when you finally go to get him.
Usually there’s an immediate cutscene that plays when the target dies and then you start over, but here you just eventually discover that it’s too late.

I guess the "3 day time limit" is real. Lucky for me i didn't waste much time in getting too him. Got my butt handed too me tyring too get Kaz out though.

The weird thing is after you get this secret cutscene when you reload the checkpoint (sense it is a game over) you can rescue kaz like the time limit never happened
