Yes the roots can be regrown in soil or Miracle Grow fertilizer water. I'm regrowing celery right now :)

Good explanations and processes, BUT there is a traditional method, which allows you to do it without single-use paper towels, or a salad spinner. You do everything in a traditional cotton tea-towel. Put the washed leaves in a tea towel, fold in the corners, and swing it over the bathtub or the back step--the water flies off the leaves and leaves the tea towel damp. Then roll the leaves up loosely in the tea towel and place it in fridge. Save the planet!

You've put all that dirty root into the water and then remove all the dirt. 🥴😂 How about cut that root first and THEN plunge the salad into the water? 😉
