The top berries didn't even touch the water. Hummm....

I soak mine in the vinegar and water and I cover them to remove the pesticide because they say they are one of the most contaminated fruits. I let them soak for about 20 minutes and they don’t absorb the vinegar taste but I pour off the vinegar and water then rinse them under cold running tap water in a colander and I don’t have any complaints about the taste. That lady didn’t even cover them in the water and you can’t dissolve the dirt and pesticides and get them off that fast. I see lots of dirt in the bottom of my white bowl with my method. I just watched a video about soaking them in salt water and it makes little worms and bugs come out I’m going to check my next batch to see if it’s true.

Soak them and rinse them afterward. It does not adversely affect the flavour. They do last longer, but it also removes the bugs/worms that get into them--if that's a concern to you. You've been eating them without knowing.... I soak them at least 30 minutes.
