One rule if you ever react to anything John Farnham. Always the "live" version. John is an entertainer, and if you watch his live performances, you'll understand why he connects with his audiences. (especially if it's with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra)

Middle aged Australian here. John Farnham has been a fixture on our Australian music scene for almost my entire life! Farnham is indeed one of the greatest and most beloved vocal/music legends in our country who's just an all round, totally down to earth really nice guy.

Had the privilege of singing this with 95 other Aussies to a large audience in Portland, Oregon a month after 9/11. They stood in tears & applauded. It was an international event that other countries didn’t manage to attend but we Aussies were determined to be there at a very sad time for America and the world. John Farnham is a legend not only in Australia.

He's from Australia but you haven't heard anything until you hear his version of Help buy the Beatles. EPIC!

As an old Australian I can attest to the fact that Farnsy could indeed hit those notes live throughout the 70s, 80s, 90s and early 00s.

I think you gave a fair appraisal. His voice was magnificent and the only time I saw him intimidated vocally was singing with and standing next to Tom Jones, but he acquitted himself beautifully. (I believe they sang My Yiddish Mama together that night)

John Farnham is a music icon in Australia. You should hear him sing 'Help me if you can' a Beatles classic. And much more. He's now in his 70's and had awful oral cancer in his mouth. The surgery saved his life but John will never sing again. So sad. We Aussies adore him.

Hi from Australia. I'm a 70yo woman, who, like everyone here adores John Farnham. He was made Pop King in Australia when he started making hits at the age of 18yo. He went quiet for about 10 years, then his friend Glen Wheately, a performer, then record producer (see Little River Band) came up with songs for a new album. That was the biggest coming of any singer here. The songs were amazing because they could only be sung by Johnny Farnham. They needed power. You really had to hear the voice to believe it!! To hear him sing, up to recently was breathtaking. Recently, Johnny has been absent due to cancer in his jaw, and everyone here is sad and praying for him. He's our treasure. He's given us everything he has. Do yourself a favour and find him on YouTube. They've made a doco about his life. The first hit was Sadie The Cleaning Lady. We love him so much!! ❤️

G’day. This song won many awards back in the 1980’s down under. Hearing it always gives me goosebumps for some reason. ❤️🇦🇺

This dude can sing YOU have NO IDEA. Any reactions to John Farnham, Jimmy Barnes, Cold Chisel should be live as their performances are a show in themselves. John can sing any genre from pop to opera. He has a terrific sense of humor. He could have been a comedian. 😂❤😂 His backup singers and most of his band has been with him for 20 plus years.

A song nearly 40 years old is as fresh and relevant today as then. And I LOVE those bagpipes too.

I am so thrilled that you are jumping down the “Farnsy” rabbit hole.
John is an Australian legend and we adore him. He has been in the business since the late 1960’s.
Always best to see his live performances. “Help”, “A touch of Paradise”, “Angels”, to name a few.
I saw him in concert in 2019, John was 70 and still as powerful as ever and hitting those high notes.
Thank you for reacting to John, brilliant💕
